Horrible Liar
I have no clue where this came from...I was just doing my homework and this idea came up. In my prespective I see no pairings in this one-shot. I hope you enjoy!
Disclaimer: I don't own FMA. I am just borrowing a few characters for a little while.
It was a clear night in Munich. Edward had just moved in with Alfons, and in Alfons' point of veiw he seemed depressed. So what other way than to make him feel better than to show him the starry sky? But he didn't even have to ask, since Ed was a step ahead of him.
"Hey Alfons, is there a way to get on the roof of this apartment?" He asked scanning the newspaper for the tenth time. Most of the time, Alfons noticed, that he was always silent, and the few words they exchanged were a 'Good morning' and a 'Good night'. Everyonce in a while though, Alfons tried to force a conversation out of his friend. Seeing him talk without beeing asked to was just wonderful.
"Yes, do you want me to show you?" Alfons said in his usual calm voice.
"Yeah. Thanks"
"Alright...follow me" Al said smiling at Edward. He took him out to the hall and up a few stairs. "There you go."
"Thanks." Edward said. Hearing Al's footsteps fade, he went outside to be greeted to the cool spring wind. He lied down on the concrete and just gazed up to the sky.
"Heh, I guess the stars over there at home are the same in this hellish dream." He said softly. He closed his eyes for a few second. 'I wonder...if...Al or Winry are seeing the same as I am tonight' He thought solemnly. Deep in his thoughts he did not hear when Alfons came through the door.
'Edward's been like this since I asked him to live with me...maybe I can get a few words out of him.' Al thought. He sat down besides Edward. Still no reaction from him. He sighed, knowing that he wasn't going to pay attention to anybody unless they took him out of his thoughts, which to Alfons, was rude. He gave him a slight kick. No response. 'Great, he fell asleep.' He thought rolling his eyes. He gave him a harder kick.
"What?" Ed asked opening an eye.
"Is something wrong? Ever since you moved with me you have been looking very upset. So I wondered if you wanted to talk to me...I promise I won't tell anyone." Al said, giving a smile just like how Ed would imagine that his brother's smile would be.
"I'm fine." He stated, his view returning once more to the sky. 'What a lie' He thought sadly. 'I can't even tell my friend about my situation!'
Alfons let out an inaudible sigh, standing up he said "Ok then...I'm glad you're fine. I suggest you come down soon...it's going to get chilly soon, and I don't want you to get sick." He walked to the door, and giving Ed one last look, he closed the door behind him.
"Edward is such a horrible liar." He said giving a small laugh. A deep cough followed it. 'I shouldn't talk either, I'm a horrible liar too.' He thought, looking at the few drops of blood. Even though he knew that his life was being shortened from the rocket fuels, he didn't tell anybody. He didn't want to leave his job, even if it was costing his life. Running back to the apartment to wash his hands he thought of something that was true
'We're both very bad liars.'
Alright! I have just wrote something that in my opinion, sucks! Yay! I shall adore costructive criticism, although I'll accept any reviews, flames shall be used to burn my art teacher.
