AN: This fic turned out a lot darker than I expected…

Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto.

Summary: 'I can never forgive Sasuke-kun, Sakura-chan. He stole what should have been mine. Your heart.' InoSaku (one-sided?), dark, character death. AU, OOC

What's Mine Is Mine

I can still remember that day, Sakura-chan. Clear as if it happened yesterday, even though it was years ago.

You told me that we couldn't be friends any more, because we both liked Sasuke-kun. You said we were now rivals from that day on.

That hurt me, Sakura-chan. You hurt me. But most importantly, Sasuke-kun hurt me.

Do you know why Sasuke-kun hurt me?

He had the thing I wanted most. Your respect. Your admiration. Your love and affection. I was your first friend, Sakura-chan! I brought you out of your shell and how do you thank me?

You tell me you can't be my friend because we're rivals. Because we both like the same boy. Well guess what, Sakura-chan? I don't like Sasuke-kun any more. I hate him. I should hate you for what you've done but I can't, and do you know why?

It's because I love you, Sakura-chan. I want to be near you, always. Always and forever, protecting you, helping you, just being near you…

I can never forgive Sasuke-kun, Sakura-chan. He stole what should have been mine. Your heart. And one day, I'll repay the favour. I will steal his heart, steal it and break it in two, because that's what you did to me, Sakura-chan. But I won't do it to you, I can never hurt you, never ever.

I love you, Sakura-chan. I will always love you forever and ever until the day I die.

And Ino laughs as she watches his face, contorted in shock and agony as she rips out his heart and crushes it in her fist and is happy that she finally had an opportunity to get her revenge.

And Sakura watches, detached as her partner kills the traitor that stole her heart and yet never gave her his, the one who didn't care about her or anybody but himself, and she thinks maybe he does deserve this.

And Sasuke bleeds and bleeds and bleeds and he wonders how she managed to kill him, if he was strong enough to kill his brother, if he ever would be and with his final dying gasp he wonders what the blonde girl means when she says you stole her heart from me and then you tore it apart and now I'm returning the favour.

Okay. No more midnight inspiration for me, it causes fics like these.
