Tobias Eaton was not the "forgive and forget" kind. All his life, he had to endure his father's beatings, and listen to all the Abnegations who worshipped Marcus Eaton.

They called themselves selfless, but were they really helping others at all times? All they did was look down everytime they saw a mirror, or reprimand every little sign of affection that was shown by two opposite genders. His mother had to fake her own death, and nobody even noticed, too caught up in their own perfect little gray worlds.

They were so focused on not being selfish that they forgot about the rest. They blindly trusted, never doubting, or even caring. All they did was follow orders, like machines who were programmed to "help" others.

They were outside of reality. Not a fantasy or a nightmare, just too unreal to really exist. They ignored him all his life, so why should he help them when they asked him to? He wouldn't forgive, and how could he even dream about forgetting?

So he left. On the day of the Choosing ceremony, he took another path, the path that would take him as far away from the Abnegation. The Dauntless Path.
