AUTHOR'S NOTES: I was not too fond of this poem when I first wrote it, but now I happen to be rather proud of it (not trying to be a bighead or anything, I'm just being honest). As Lisa is one of my favourite characters, I felt I had to write this very angsty piece. Anyway, enjoy.
HELPLESS AND BLEEDING
Stumbling through the hall
Blood oozing from every pore
Watches the cockroaches scuttle up the walls.
Her red shoes scrape against the rusted floor
The red fluid trailing behind her
Her bloodied hands fumble for the door.
Her name is Lisa Garland.
Doomed to stay this way
She now knows who she is
And why she wanted to stay.
The tears spill from her eyes
Tears of warm, wet blood
The hallway echoes with her cries.
She is bleeding.
She thought one man could save her
That he would take her away
Instead he turned and fled - dear God, how it hurt.
Now she is a monster, trapped in this hell
This twisted reality
This doomed town, Silent Hill.
She is helpless.
She encounters more members of her kind
Those souless, vicious beasts
How could she not know? How could she be so blind?
Confusion wracks her brain
As she struggles to stand upright
Tries to think clearly - to take away this pain.
She was a nurse, once.
Harry Mason is gone
Her only saviour for miles
Now she's all alone.
The sobs wrack her body
As she collapses to her knees
Her mind is slowly fading.... and she can never be free.
Her name is Lisa Garland.
Helpless
and
bleeding.
