Apollo shot a plagued arrow at the monstrous Typhon's chest. It bounced of harmlessly as the creation of Gaea screeched and slashed at the sun god. He managed to dodge the attack, but barely. The deities have tried their best to defeat this beast once more, but it was impossible without the help of some of the missing major gods including Hades, Dionysus, Poseidon, Demeter, and Hestia.
"Watch out!" the god said out loud to his sister Artemis when Typhon spit poison in her direction. Artemis did not reply but she avoided the attack and quickly landed a blow on Typhon with her golden arrows. It managed to damage Typhon a little, but the mark quickly regenerated. The immortals could see the Empire State Bulidng from their distance, it wouldn't be long before they'd reach there.
After days of battling the monster, the deities were worn out and pretty tired, but they didn't give up. A destroyed Olympus means that something bad will happen to them. The one thing all of them knew was that they couldn't win. Typhon had a few injuries, but none of them seemed to bother him or made a big deal.
Dionysus had gone somewhere else and was healing after he got hit by the beast's arm. To the gods, losing one of their kind in battle was a huge deal especially if it was Typhon they were dealing with. Hestia wasn't the best at fighting and she had to stand by the crackling hearth that probably gave off little warmth now. Demeter and Hades were fighting giants with their children Persephone and Nico. Finally, Poseidon was protecting his palace and fighting off Oceanus.
Typhon screeched in rage again and made an attempt to hit the wisdom goddess Athena and love goddess Aphrodite. Athena evaded but Aphrodite was too slow and her beautiful hair blew everywhere as the impact landed. "HOW DARE YOU!" Ares roared and threw his spear at the monster. The weapon bounced off just like it did with Apollo's arrow.
"This shall not be the end!" bellowed the war god. "IT SHALL NOT!" Right after that, Typhon attacked the god with its snake hair. Protecting Ares even though he didn't like his son that much, Zeus hurled his thunderbolt and saved him from having Dionysus' fate.
The final blow was made at that moment when Typhon tried to knock out the nine Olympians, but before he could there was a shining light and water sprayed everywhere until Typhon himself got knocked out for some time.
"Poseidon." muttered Athena because this god was her rival for the city of Athens. Now all the deities had their spirits raised and used all their strength. Sparks, fire, water, lightning, and explosions raged throughout the area making it a wasteland. It didn't matter though, because Typhon has been defeated because one additional deity saved the day!
"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" someone said in an angry and disappointed tone that sounded ancient and cold. They figured it was Kronos, the titan lord. He was the next victim the deities were coming for. After that, everything will be alright for some time.
