Sam walked down the hallways of Ridgeway High School inbetween in her two best friends, Carly and Freddie. The three amigos walked into the lunchroom and made their way over to the lunchline. Some weird things had been happening lately, and they were unusually quiet. Everything was just awkward. "So..." the blonde started as she grabbed a tray and started piling on food. Carly smiled, glad someone was breaking the silence.

"Did you see what Tureen was wearing...?" she trailed off, something catching her eye. "Whose that?

A girl with brown hair and brown eyes was standing on a table, staring creepily at someone sitting in front of her. the surrounded people had equal looks of 'WTF' on their faces. Freddie groaned, "That's Kitty, the new girl, she comes from East High or something. She's been breaking out into song all day," he sniffed the coleslaw he held in his hand. "It must be a New Mexico thing."

"YOU. TOUCHED. ME." she said loudly, arms crossed. the redhead that she was staring at opened her mouth to say something, but Kitty didn't let her finish. "Don't you have anything to say?"

The cafeteria fell quiet.

"You can try to pretend

you can try to disguise

you can try to ignore

but your hand just touched mine,"

She started dancing terribly to music no-one else could here.

"Yeah we just touched awkwardly

was that strange for you like it was strange for me?

we just touched awkwardly

no, i'm not going to let this go,"

Two random kids stood up and started dancing along with her, and it seemed strangely choreographed. Freddie just continued on through the line, but Carly and Sam were confused.

"It was like that one time

when i reached over you

and you tried to ignore

when i grazed your left boob,"

She pointed to a random girl across the room and winked, jumping down from the table and landing dramatically on her knees, she looked at the ground and held her hands up as if grasping for something.

"but we just touched awkwardly

was that strange for you like it was strange for me?

yeah we just touched awkwardly

no i'm not going to let this go!"

Kitty brought her head up slowly as she sang the last verse and the chorus of kids that had gathered behind her, danced in perfect sync to invisible notes as she repeated the chorus.

The room stayed silent as the brunette, walked back over to the stupefied redhead and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Was that really so hard?"

The cafeteria went back to its usual buzz and Sam was scared out of her mind. "Why the hell isn't anybody saying anything?"

"SHE JUST CURSED!" a random kid said standing on the table, and then started dancing much like Kitty did earlier.

"When you are in schoooool-" he started to sing but was drowned out by Sam's screams of miscomfort.
