-They had met at tennis camp.-

It was not the usual "boy-meets-girl" or the unpredictable "love-at-first-sight" type of thing.

She had served, and it hit him in a rather painful place.

She had apologized so many times (fifty-seven, to be exact), and they had made a deal: she would stop apologizing, and he would take her out on a date.

That's where things had started to go right.

,,

"Our first date," Massie sighed.

"In the middle of the night and under the stars," Cam continued for her.

"Is by the restrooms," they disgustingly said together.

"Better than getting caught though, right?" Cam asked, a hopeful gleam in his blue eye.

"Yes, definitely. Being here with you is better than anything."

They shared their first kiss that night, both believing that they loved each other. They were sixteen, and they believed in love at that age.

Poor fools.

,,

-The last day at camp, they took a walk on one of the trails.-

Her wide, doe-like amber eyes searched his mismatched orbs. "What's gonna happen now?"

He closed his eyes and sighed. "I don't want to be away from you, Mass."

"I don't want to leave you, Cam."

"Just imagine that I'm there with you every second of the day. 'Cause I will be. I'll be by your side in here," he tapped his temple "but most importantly in here." He put her hand over his chest.

"I will, don't worry," she promised. "You're too amazing to even try to forget."

And she meant that.

,,

-They occasionally kept in touch.-

Sometimes, he never answered for days.

She always answered.

She was always checking his tumblr page, and whenever she did, she saw the same girl over and over again, always in a different pose.

He barely replied to her emails or her texts anymore.

Maybe the girl is his cousin and she's on his account, she tried to convince herself.

But deep down inside of her, she knew who it was.

If only she were able to admit it to herself.

Admit that she wasn't his anymore.

She never was.

,,

-She suddenly dreaded for the summer now. She dreaded seeing him.-

Yet, there he was, holding out his arms in front of her so that she could hug him.

But she merely glanced at him and walked right by.

,,

-She had practiced her serve. It had improved.-

Her one-hundred and seventeen mile per hour serve had hit him in the same spot as last summer.

This time though, she just smirked at him.

,,

-Dinnertime rolled around, and they saw each other at the Mess Hall.-

He was gazing at her with such intensity that she just had to look over at him.

He mouthed the words "I'm sorry," but he didn't even know what he did.

That bastard.

,,

-He catches up with her as she hastily heads over to the dessert table.-

"Why are you so mad at me?" He asks.

She just smiles ever so innocently, glances at her snickers ice cream, and without any second thoughts, she smashes it over his head, smearing it all over his lush, black hair.

,,

-They stopped talking.-

They'd catch each other's eyes, and their gaze would linger on each other's for just more than your usual second, but then they would immediately look away just as easily as they had found each other's eyes.

He had told her to just imagine.

So she did.

She imagined the he actually really did love her, and that he still does.

,,

Finished.

I hope I didn't disappoint.

Well, I shall find out by your reviews.

:D

Love you, 'Sades!
