Belly Bump

Kitty sighed as she looked in the mirror. She was getting fat. This had never been a problem before, but as Hank and Peter both reminded her with a laugh, she'd never been pregnant before. Hank helpfully pointed out that the reason she was showing so soon was because she was carrying twins. "Gee, thanks, Hank," she'd replied sarcastically.
Lockheed's take on the situation had been predictable; he'd asked her when she'd be building a nest so she could lay eggs. That turned into a talk about human birds and bees. "So, you're not going to lay eggs," he said.
"Nope, they're going to come out without a shell, and fully formed," she said. He shook his head, muttering something about wheedling table scraps out of the kids. She gave him a dirty look, he, too, was getting fat. "At least I have an excuse," she called after him. Eggs, you'd think he'd been around humans long enough to know that's not how it worked with them.
