Introduction: Cat Food
So I decided to put up a short story that circulated around the cats of The Mortal Instruments. Why? Because who doesn't love cats?
Disclaimer: I do not own The Mortal Instruments, as well as any other elements from the story. What I do own is the plot of this short story.
Chairman Meow and Church were having a playdate.
Well, Magnus had decided to visit the Institute, and had to bring Chairman Meow over, in the case that he accidentally set the apartment on fire again. Or had a feline-tastic party without his permission. Or drank one of the potions that Magnus custom made for people with 'special problems.' So to protect his cat from himself, Magnus had to drag him out of the house and bring him.
But the sneaky cat had somehow stolen a potion from Magnus' pantry, the sneaky cat, and he planned to share it with Church, who was, like, his BCFF. (For you ignorant humans out there, BCFF means 'Best Cat Friends Forever.')
And since their owners were totally in love, which the two cats just had to agree on, Chairman Meow just had to say the word, and they'd be on their way. Magnus was always looking for a reason to visit Alec.
Whenever Chairman Meow and Church have playdates, they like to gossip about the latest rumors in the feline world. They would play tag, and mess around with the fluffy pillows in the library. Truth or Dare was fun, usually the dares involved eating Isabelle's horrid cooking, which Jace, the golden one always said, "tasted worse than cat food," which both cats found equally offensive. Cat food was probably the best thing in the world, except for maybe cat beds and squeaky mouse toys.
But that day, the cats would get the rare opportunity to drink a potion that would make them talk. It would be a funny prank to pull.
So the kitties carefully positioned themselves. Chairman Meow would be atop the bottle and would uncork it, while Church stood at the mouth of the glass, waiting for the liquid to pour out. When half the bottle had been drained, the cats would switch positions. Then they'd have the time of their lives.
Starting with the golden one.
To be continued in Chapter I: Golden Boy
