Blame inspiration. That's all I have to say.
Disclaimer: Yeah. I wish.
"Ready?"
(ready for what?)
She didn't know if she was ready! Sure she thought (a lot) about this defining moment of her of so dramatic life, but did he (really) have to be so, so ( so what?) so intense? I mean come on they were only waking up!
Kairi lifted her head off of Sora's shoulder while he continued to stare at her. She closed her eyes and sighed and began to run her fingers through her messy red hair. He continued to stare at her for the whole minute while she was busy.
Avoiding his question, Kairi sighed and decided to answer his question with a question of her own.
"Where's Riku?" (so much for trying to buy time.)
Sora did a number of things; seeming like he couldn't decide on which to do and settled on them all. One he grinned. Two, (grin now gone) he rolled his eyes. Lastly, he shrugged and propped himself up on his elbows.
Kairi narrowed her eyes at Sora, but seeing that he wasn't taking her seriously, she directed her attention towards the ocean. It was strangely serene.
"Ready for what, Sora?" She was getting quickly irritated.
He leaned forward and tilted his head so that his gravity defying her blocked her view and their eyes were intimately locked.
Love. Friendship. Smiles. Beginnings. Endings. Screams. Death. Life. It all came in a rush.
Kairi let one tear fall and nodded a silent yes. She felt Sora's arms embrace her as she hung her head.
Ready or not, here we go.
