Book 3, Chapter 12

WolfTide look around at the unusual land. "Where am I, Seirei?" WolfTide wolfed, looking at her friend. Seirei look at her new friend. "This is where hounds live. " WolfTide looked down once

again and saw smaller, different looking wolves but they weren't wolves. They were tame and didn't eat or hunt meat like WolfTide and the others did. They lived with demons in peace. It

was unusual to WolfTide and the others."Wait here while Seirei and I check it out." WolfTide commanded to the small group. They nodded their heads in agreement and watched the two

wolves walk down the hill towards the hounds. As WolfTide reached where the hounds live, one of them started to barked wildly. The other hushed him with her tail. "welcome to our home.

My name is Tawny and this is Lewis." The young golden colored hound greeted. The smaller hound, Lewis, was a tri-colored hound that didn't have much kindness towards the outsiders. He

walked off towards a fenced area and disappeared inside. "I'm sorry. He hasn't been very nice since he first saw your kind." Tawny apologized. WolfTide looked at the enclosed area and

then around the land where Tawny lived. Seirei didn't seem too curious about the land or the hounds. Tawny offered to show them around and Seirei nodded yes. Tawny showed them

where she lived. "The tenderfoots call it a kennel." WolfTide and other wolves didn't call them tenderfoots but demons. Tawny showed them around the land and showed them a few

dogs. One was lying down by pups with her mate a few feet away, with watchful eyes. "This is Camie and that's her mate, Shadow." Tawny pointed towards the black hound watching

them. Camie smiled as they came closer. "And these are our pups, Blue, Star, and Bone." Camie barked nudging her pups. Her white fur shown with liver spots as she got up and her pups

awoke. "Who are they?" Star barked. Her fur was white but has black and liver spots. "These are some visitors that don't have tenderfoots, Star." Shadow replied walking up by Camie.

Blue had a merle coat with black spots, WolfTide noticed. Bone was more of a blacker color like his father but had lighter black along his feet. Tawny smiled at the pups and their parents

then towards WolfTide and Seirei. "I should show you my pups. They would love to learn more about you." Tawny wolfed as she lead them towards where Lewis disappeared into.
