DFC: Hey people! *dodges a few thrown fruit*
Readers: Update one of your multi chapters!
DFC: Well, I'm working on those too-
Readers: You said How They Pass Down was finished! Update it!
DFC: Let me introduce this, please. GeekyAngewomon, could you?
GeekyAngewomon: Fine. Internet Distractions!

DFC: Anyways, for my English class we read a book called House on Mango Street, which is a collection of Vignettes (pronounced VIN-yets, why? It's French.) And I was assigned to write one. I decided to write one about (Hi)Kari, and make it understandable to someone who's never watched the show. I hope you like it! I accept any none flame reviews, so feel free to send constructive criticism.

Hikari Yagami, Kari to her friends, had many places she considered homes. The first and foremost, however, was wherever her friends had gathered. No one could truly understand their not-exactly-little-but-not-large group.

Two geniuses, one of the top names of the teenage music world, a pair of boys who only seemed to think about soccer and yet somehow managed to command an entire room when they wanted too, a fashionista who loved to cook, her loud mouthed protege, a quiet boy four years below the next youngest, a nervous wreck trying to become a doctor, and a basket ball star who wanted to write.

How did they ever become friends? People were known to ask. How the heck to they get along?

Kari always smiled secretively when she heard those questions.

That's for us to know, she would say. We could never stop being friends now.

It was almost impossible to find any one of the group without at least one other.

They all made up for each other's flaws, and all loved each other. Some people assumed that they'd been raised together, but those who knew that hadn't just kept on guessing.

Kari knew they'd always be a team. If they started losing contact with anyone for any reason, a portion of the group would go check on that member. Even if it meant flying halfway across the world.

Words from a tv show drifted through the girl's head; Some friendships are so strong they can even transcend lifetimes.

Well, the friendship of the team was strong enough to go past lifetimes. It was strong enough that somewhere, in another timeline, they would meet each other, and wonder why these people all felt so familiar.

Yes, Kari knew one thing for certain, as she hurried to catch the rockstar friend before his concert, she could never be home without her friends.
