I just HAD to do it, believe me or not. I am absolutely fresh newcomer into Final Fantasy VII world but I fell in love with it from, ha!, Kingdom Hearts. Yesterday I passed, amongst other parts, the Forgotten Capital and it impressed me VERY much. An awesome beaty and the music made me dream (literary) about this one - shot. So yeah... Don't blame me

The sand… It is so warm, so calming. Why?

Aeris, no…

The sunbeam fell on his face as the day slowly took its rightful place over Forgotten Capital. He didn't notice it all. His blue eyes were reflecting the clouds that slowly passed by over the dead city. He wished he was one of them. Not feeling, not caring, not suffering.

The shiny emerald eyes slowly closing as the life, piece by piece left them. They will not laugh anymore, not twinkle in admiration or change their colour to dark green when in anger. He still felt her body resting in his arms and warm red blood streaming down his gloves. She looked so peaceful, it has crossed his mind then… Perhaps there was more then met the eye.

I am sorry… I am so sorry… so sorry!

Waves. Waves under the breeze. Dead waves of the dead sea swirling around dead city full with the mighty silence of those who had gone long time ago.

The tear rolled down his cheek and rested on the floor polished by centuries and centuries of silence. And suddenly everything became so useless. So… unnecessary. The mission, the Planet, the world around him.

Everywhere I go, everything I touch, disappears in ashes and chaos…
Not true…
How can you know?...
I just know…
Why do we speak? You are gone…
The heart always hears and never fails…
Aeris…
I've chosen what is right, don't blame yourself…

Sunbeam warmed his cheek and jumped on his eye.

I can't believe you are gone…
I am never gone. I am everywhere…

A little whirlwind of sand hit the wall of the shell house, making it sound like a soft quiet laughter that he used to like so much.

Everywhere. In the sun, in the wind, in the rain and the snow…
Right here?...
Right here. And I am watching you. You sadden me, you never liked that, did you?...
I…
You see?...

He closed his eyes and remembered the big ribbon that was always asking for untying and tossing it away. Another tear twinkled in the sun like a precious diamond.

Sephiroth…
No. Nothing but a pawn in the game no - one understands. Forgive him…
I can't…

The sun moved away and he suddenly stood up.

"I can't! And I never will. The misery, the horror, the destruction. Too much to forget or forgive."

Darkness fell upon the ancient house and a sudden strong and cold wind blew the hair out of his face.

Try me, Cloud. You are nothing but a puppet. Soon…

Soon. Soon indeed, Mother.
