Hand over Heart
Urei Sachi
Promises aren't easy to keep, and Isaac knows this, which is why he never freely gives promises away. For the life of him, he couldn't remember when his last oath was, much less what it was. But Garet never seems to acknowledge that sometimes these things were impossible, that he couldn't fulfill every big thing he swears he would do, nor does he realize the weight of one's words.
You could lie with words, but Garet never does. Garet asked him, once, to be his comrade till death.
Isaac tries so hard everyday, but he keeps slipping every time.
He gave his word and never spoke of regrets, but Isaac knows all too well that he would have to let go someday. Garet would never understand a sacrifice like that. He was always too restrained to his obligations to understand.
He turned his back to Garet and retreated to the confines of his room, where promises never existed at all.
160 words.
Oh. My. God. That, I swear, was… weird.
Ah, well. x0 Hope you guys liked that though. Hehe. This is my first GSun fanfic, and I've just recently finished the game. I'm so proud of myself. Unfortunately, I have this unhealthy obsession of finishing The Lost Age now- if only I had that. Damn.
