Alfons didn't understand Edward and his lack of etiquette.

When sneezing, Alfons turned his head away from people or sneezed into a tissue and then washed his hands afterwards.

Edward sneezed into his hands and didn't bother washing them until Alfons advised it.

Alfons would take his shoes off when he entered any house.

Edward wouldn't remove his shoes unless specifically asked to.

When making a point, Alfons uses his whole hand and doesn't point at people.

Edward points all the time - at people, animals, objects...anything. He doesn't even care if the people are looking!

When Alfons is done using the bathroom, he closes the toilet seat lid.

Edward always leaves the lid and toilet seat up. He claims that it should be that way because it's "always ready for use".

Alfons sits with his legs crossed. He sits with his back parallel to the back of the chair.

Edward sits with his legs spread wide. He also slouches.

When eating, Alfons never even dares to think about setting his elbows on the table.

Edward's hands are all over the place. He nearly smacked a dinner guest across the face once. With his prosthetic arm. On accident of course.

Alfons cuts his food into little pieces as he eats.

Edward eats in big chunks and talks with his mouth full.

Alfons waits until everyone is done talking until he begins to speak.

Edward interrupts any and everyone when he has something to say.

Alfons says "please" and "thank you" and "how do you do?".

Edward barely gives anyone the time of day. Except for Alfons, of course.

Alfons cleans up after himself.

Edward's bedroom is a biohazard.

If Alfons loses at a game of chess or cards, he congratulates the other person and smiles.

If Edward loses at a game of chess or cards, he sulks about it for a while and then demands a rematch.

If a person talks to Alfons about religion or philosophy, he kindly listens and waits for his turn to tell them about his opinions. Politely, of course.

If a person talks to Edward about religion or philosophy, he just ignores them or points out all the flaws he hears.

Alfons always insists that it's "ladies first".

Edward couldn't care less. If he wants to go somewhere, he's going to push and shove 'til he gets there.

Alfons always goes to the bathroom to change into his pajamas.

Edward strips right in front of Alfons and climbs into bed with him.

Alfons always gives Edward a kiss after their usual...activities, tells him he loves him, and says "good night".

Edward mumbles a "love you too," and immediately falls into a deep slumber.

Alfons is polite, kind, and considerate.

Edward is loud, brash, and somewhat obnoxious.

But neither would have the other any other way.
