A one shot for the theBooyahEffects' Kissing in the Rain challenge. Hope you enjoy!
Lily was sitting on the grass and staring out the dark lake, reflecting the gray clouds above. A frown cast a shadow over her face as she thought back on the argument she had just had with Scorpius. She didn't even remember how the conversation started but it had been about his grandfather not wanting him to be dating a Weasley.
"But I'm a Potter, not a Weasley."
"He says that there's no difference and your mother is a Weasley." Scorpius said, staring at his feet.
"Alright, so I'm a Weasley, what's the big deal."
"You're all blood traitors, even if you're father did defeat Voldemort." Llly's father, Harry Potter, had always told her that she inherited her mother's temper, and she could feel it boiling inside her now.
"My father is the bravest man in the world, and I am proud to be both Weasley and a Potter!" She said before storming off.
Lily had run out to her favorite spot on the grounds, a little, hidden grassy field on the edge of lake that no one knew existed, except for her and Scorpius.
She felt a raindrop on her hand, but didn't move. She didn't want to leave the quiet of her sanctuary.
Just it was really starting to pour someone put a hand on her shoulder, making her jump. She looked around and saw Scorpius standing there with a little smile on his face.
"If you've come here to insult me again you can leave." She said.
"I came to apologize for early. You seemed to have forgotten that I was merely relaying my grandfather's views. Which I happen to disagree with completely." He said, smiling down at her. Lily smiled up at him as she felt her cheeks turn red. "By the way, you look pretty when you blush." Scorpius said, smiling as he brushed a lock of soaking wet hair out of her face. Then he leaned down and gently kissed. Lily wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him back. When they broke apart the two of them stood there for a long time just enjoying each other's company in their secret little glade as the rain continued to fall.
