Right, so this is a collection of Deanmus oneshots, some are AU, some are not. This is my first time doing something like this so...let's see how it goes. No NSFW content! Prompts are welcome (and appreciated!).
Time: Right before the Battle of Hogwarts.
Place: Room of Requirement
Seamus could hardly believe his eyes when Dean walked into the Room of Requirement. Half-detached from reality, he whooped loudly and sprinted to embrace Dean tightly.
"Dean," he breathed, too quietly for anyone to hear except for Dean, who was real, he was here, held in his arms.
"Shay," Dean responded with equal quiet. "I missed you so much."
The crack in Dean's voice at the last work shattered Seamus's heart as he hugged his boyfriend. He could feel nothing except Dean's warm arms around him and the tears tracing their way down his cheeks. He reluctantly let go when Harry began explaining they had an object to find. Some...diadem. He didn't care. He didn't care for anything except for Dean's hand gripping his tightly and him squeezing back with equal conviction. Seamus noticed Hermione's eyes linger on their joined hands before smiling faintly at him. Dean loosened his hold slightly when he saw Hermione's gaze but she shook her head and mouthed "I knew it."
Seamus blushed a deep red and Hermione smirked before turning away to finalize the plan with Harry and Ron.
"She doesn't mind," Dean observed in a low voice that was shaking with either laughter, love, fear, or maybe all three.
Seamus snorted, but his smile slowly faded as he took in, really took in Dean's face, scars and all. He could tell Dean was assessing the bruises and cuts on his face as well.
"What happened?" Dean whispered, his thumb lightly grazing over a purple mark on Seamus's face.
"Well...me and Neville, we were sort of, ah, rebelling. They...well, let's just say the punishments were harsh and painful. And someone musta told them a-ab-about me and you and…" Dean's hand drifted to Seamus's chest as Seamus spoke. "They...they don't take to kindly to queer wizards. More of a reason to beat the shit out of me."
Dean's eyes shone with unshed tears. Seamus's thoughts narrowed to the boy in front of him and Dean's lips gently met his and he tugged Seamus closer. He didn't notice Harry leaving or anything until they seperated and noticed half the room's attention on them.
"Er…" Seamus felt red creeping across his cheeks for the second time in less than fifteen seconds as he heard a wolf-whistle from the back and a few cheers. Someone (who he was 99.9% sure was Parvati) yelled "Yeah, get it Seamus!"
Dean smirked and pecked Seamus on the cheek. "So much for it being a secret."
DNMS
Dean was in a frenzy. The Battle of Hogwarts had just ended and he could not find Seamus. Yes, they had headed out together, yes, they had planned to fight together, but they got seperated and oh god, what if he's hurt, what if he's dead? Dean entered the Great Hall, whipping his head around, scanning the faces of the bodies, stomach dropping when he saw those he knew. Lupin. Fred. Lavender...where's Seamus.
"Dean!"
Dean whirled to find Seamus hurtling towards him, hair and robes singed, eyes filled with tears. They collided and for a moment it was a whirlwind of crying, arms, and "You're alive, thank god."
"Dean, Dean, oh my god, oh my god," Seamus sobbed. "You're alive, holy shit, oh my god."
"I'm okay, what about you?" Dean asked, gently detangling himself from Seamus's vice-like grip.
"Fine, I'm fine, I-you're alive, oh my god," Seamus gasped, placing a hand on Dean's cheek. "Holy shit, you're alive. I was so scared, Dean, I was so scared, I was fucking terrified."
"I know, I know, me too, love, me too."
"Never again, okay? I'm never doing this again."
"Never again," Dean promised, kissing Seamus. "Never again, love."
