(Authors note: I plan to write many more stories featuring Aizden as the main character. Any that don't fit in to this journal format or that are M rated will be posted separately and I will ensure that you don't need to read them to fully enjoy this one and that they are self-contained)
Day One: Trust me, this one would rather not be writing this but a promise is a promise so I must. Where I begin, with the party? With the intake of the Skooma? Or the with Dragon? Yes...that will do. I shall start with the dragon.
My head was still pounding slightly from the Skooma and this one couldn't remember anything after about the eighth one but I awoke in the back of an imperial cart. Now as that wasn't the first nor the last time it was not a worry but it was the start of one of the most important events of my life, the start of my time in Skyrim.
"Hey, you you're finally awake" the Nord across from me said, but this one remained silent then and for the rest of the cart-ride. I took little notice of my fellow prisoners an all I really noticed was that one of them was held in high regard by the others and that one of them was a petty horse thief, the others seemed to be rebels of some kind.
Finally we reached our destination, an imperial keep by the name of Heglen, and I realized that this might be the end, there was no obvious way out and it looked as if I was to be executed. When I hopped out of the cart and the imperial asked my name I grinned, showing my shiny, sharp teeth, "Aizden Yol-Kaaz, maybe you've heard of me?" but his response of "Captain what should we do, he's not on the list" made it apparent that the answer was no.
The first of the prisoners was called to the block and was decapitated but this one felt no remorse, he was just a rebel. That was when I heard the first roar, but it might have been the Skooma, wouldn't be the first time the sweet stuff had me hearing things. The captain then called "Next, the cat" and I slowly made my way to the block, praying to any immortal who would listen for something to save me. And save me one did, just not one of the ones I had in mind.
Now this one has three theories as to what happened next. Theory one; I did and my brain refused to accept that fact and so made up what happened next. Theory two; I entered some sort of Skooma induced hallucination again and some how ended up escaping or theory three; that it actually happened but no...dragons aren't real...are they?
Just as the headsman was about to swing his axe there was another terrible roar and a huge pale dragon swooped down from the heavens and landed on a nearby tower, the impact from which knocked the headsman to the ground. I seized my chance and made my escape, running, climbing and jumping until I came across two men, the imperial who had asked me my name, and one of the rebels from in my cart.
The Imperial offered to help me escape and I figured it would give me a chance to ensure he learned my name. We battled our way through the keep and made it out a cave on the other side, he gave me instruction to meet him at the nearby village of Riverwood and then was off, and so was I.
