His mind swam with all images of what the future could be; things that Jacob wisely knew could never become reality.

But with those unsatisfything thoughts still lingering in his mind, it only made this reality more bittersweet.

He scooted closer to her on the boulder.

The rock remained warm despite the unnatural frigidness of the April day.

A breathy sigh escaped from Bella's lips as she stared ahead seeing something far away that he wouldn't be able to see. Ever.

The sun was dropping lower in the sky.

Deep hues of purple, pink, orange splattered across the water.

They swirled and mixed until the water and the sky appeared to be connected as one giant canvas.

The breeze blew around them rippling wild flowers and leaves in the woods nearby.

This surely was perfection, or to him as close as he thought it could get.

He picked up a rock and threw it in the river.

It skipped across before dropping down to the bottom of the river never to be seen again.

He smiled and inhaled the breath of the wind around them.

It wore the perfume of spring.

It's delightful incense filling their nostrils and leaving them dizzy with delight.

She threw the flowers she had picked nearby into the river and they both watched them sail until out of sight.

She laid down on the boulder closer her eyes and humming a tune.

His lips curved up at the ends and he did the same.

He moved as close to her as he could.

Their arms touching and he felt on fire.

An electricity spread through out him.

She thought of the simplicity of the world around them at the moment, the sheer beauty of it all that encompassed them.

No worries, no fears, no lies, nothing.

"I wish this was all we ever needed," she quietly mumbled, almost to herself.

His thoughts remained only on her and her nearness to him.

He carefully put his hands in hers to delicately hold it.

"This is enough," he sighed and looked up into the brilliant vast sky that was beginning to have stars dot it.

It became their living movie screen for the night.
