Author's Note: Probably the shortest fic I've written. I wrote it on a friend's iPod Touch at 3AM when everyone else was dead asleep.

"Hey, Artie?"
"What is it, Alfred?"
"Have you ever wondered what our lives would have been like if I hadn't rebelled against you?"
Arthur pondered this for a moment. Well, of course he thought about what his life would be like if Alfred hadn't rebelled! It was a daily thought for him. Not that he enjoyed that particular thought, as it made him think of the Revolutionary times. Averting his eyes, Arthur answered with, "Qu-quite often, yes."
"And?" Alfred questioned, eyes brimming with curiosity. "Do you think it would have been better or worse?"
"Well. it would have saved me an awful lot of grief." Arthur remarked.
"Sure, that might be true, but if I hadn't rebelled..." Alfred wrapped his arms around the Brit, touching their foreheads together and smirking at the elder man's scarlet cheeks. "This... would be awfully awkward, right?"
"I-I suppose that's true," admitted Arthur.
"And to think this would be even more awkward," Alfred smiled before pressing his lips to Arthur's softly. At first, Arthur was taken aback by the action, but soon warmed up to the kiss and melted in Alfred's arms.
Perhaps it was better that the Revolution occurred after all.
