I walked into room 14A. The teacher launched into his all-too familiar speech about the new kid- me. I scanned the desks for that familiar pair of eyes. She caught my gaze and smiled.

"Who wants to show him around?" Every girl raised her hand. All but one did, anyway. I walked over the girl.

"Hey, why don't you show me around?"

"I don't know… I don't think I like you."

"That's just because I'm so much cooler than you and your architecture and textbooks."

There was a collective gasp in the classroom, probably because I had just insulted the most popular and fierce girl in the school. They waited for her to hit me. I grinned. She stood.

"I missed you, Seaweed Brain."

"Me too, Wise girl."

And she tackled me in a hug.

"But I'll get you for that diss on my books."
