My history is not what I quite remembered
***********************Beginning Of Chapter**********************
*CRASH* Hachiman Hikigaya, on his first day to Sobu High, is hit by a Luxury Vehicle and is now laying in the street blood spilling out of his mouth and bleeding through his head.
—/Hachiman's POV\—
"Please be okay! Please be okay! Please be Okay!" I see a blonde.. wait for brown hair girl in... in what looks to be the same Uniform as I repeating the same sentence frantically.
My vision is getting darker, but I try to reassure her, everything is fine.
I lift my arm to reach her and tried to say everything is fine... but I ended up making it worse by a cough more blood...
Man... is it cold here or is me... when did it get so dark outside? I think I'll just rest my eyes a bit.. just for a bit...
Then I drifted off to sleep
Then suddenly I awake from a large explosion, I feel myself laying on my right side, and as I open my eyes is now staring right at a corpse with its eyes staring right at mine.
I sit up and move away quickly only to feel feet behind me, I look to see a sitting corpse leaning to the left, with his legs angled behind me.
I hear gunfire and explosions around me, and the sound of yelling in Japanese and what I think is Russian.
I find that the corpses around me and I are dressed in the same manner.
A black uniform, cloth wrapped around the ankles, black boots, and a black visor cap with a star that has a yellow band around the midsection.
On me, I find bullets, a bayonet, and a canteen. Nearby is several rifles, and I grab the nearest one.
I find myself currently in a crater.
I drag myself up and out of the crater with the rifle to see my surroundings.
Hundreds of soldiers wearing the same black uniforms, have their bayonets fixed and are screaming as they are running uphill toward what appears to be an entrenchment.
Explosions are detonating everywhere and people and bits of people flying through the air.
"What are you doing!? Move forward, soldier!" I'm suddenly grabbed by the back of my collar and forced forward where the rest are running.
I look to my side and see a soldier with a red band cap yelling at me as he drags me.
"The first division will not be outshone by the 17th!" he yells around me.
I see some soldiers attempting to flee, but are gunned down by their officers.
Seeing there is no alternative, I hold tightly onto the rifle and run forward yelling like the others.
The officer, me, and a few others are suddenly caught in an explosion left of us.
As in flinged sideways covered in dirt and flesh, some of the others aren't so lucky.
As I dropped, the officer near me is no more, and I hear the cry of others in pain so I rush to help the ones I see alive.
There's nothing I can do for the abdominal injuries, but I tell the others with minor injuries to stay low, giving them a swig from my canteen, reassuring them that they're okay.
With me being fine, along with a few others who are able to run, we continued onward after there was nothing more I could do for the fallen.
The field is littered with the dead and dying, and the body count begins to further increase the closer we get.
There is a small deformation before the trench with friendly soldiers laying behind, so I, and now a few others rush to make it there.
The nearby bunker opens fire, and a few soldiers right of me drop.
Rifle fire from the left cause some of the soldier directly in front of me to fall.
There is nothing I can do, so I maneuvered away from the fallen and continued running.
We eventually make it with half the people we started with.
With the pillbox near where we are, A different officer commands us to stay where we are until our explosives are brought.
There is a soldier a distance away carrying more than the standard equipment rushing toward us, and is nearing the embankment.
As soon as he was a stone throw away, hes shot through the chest and now lies still.
"Damn! You there! Get those explosives!" The officer points at me.
I obliged reluctantly and gain the explosives dodging bullets from rifle fire, and ducking at explosives from artillery rounds nearby.
I bring them back, mixed in with a wave of our own soldiers to decrease the chance of me getting hit.
I make it to were I was before, with a third of the wave I hid in.
The soldier next to me lights a match and lights the fuse.
I move directly below and throw the lit explosive into the bunker, and we all duck down, with me gunning it to a safe distance.
It explodes and several people and chards flying out the opening.
"Move now! All of you!" The officer yells waving his sword.
He is the first to climb and enter the trench.
We all follow suit and pour into the trench behind him.
As were in the trench, more soldiers poured in behind us.
With me in the back and two others in the front, we move to the left side of the trenches as we were ordered to do so.
We suppose 3 to 5 soldiers wearing gray trench coats and black cossak hats manning a machine gun and gathering ammunition belts for it.
The two soldiers in front of me fire at them and rush with their bayonets.
Two cossaks are hit, and two are stabbed, but the last one shoots the lead soldier and is pinning the second.
"What are you waiting for?! Kill the bastard!" The pinned soldier pleads.
I fire while closing my eyes, the cossak in front of me falls to his knees.
The cossak looks at me with empty eyes and then is butted in the back of the head with a rifle from the once pinned soldier.
Soon after, the intensity of the situation decreases.
Cheers in Japanese are heard as the gunfire and bombardment dies down.
We climb out of the trench to see the enemy soldiers retreat.
An arm hangs around my neck, and I look to see the soldier that was pinned before.
"Thanks for saving my bacon from before, it looked like you weren't going to shoot." He smiles.
He's a petite person, with a smaller frame.
"Ah, I wouldn't let that happen," I say
"Right... Hey, I'm Yukinoshita from the 2nd division, may I ask for the name of the man who saved me?" He asks.
"Oh yea, sure its Hikigaya," I respond.
"Hikigaya huh... from what division? I don't see your insignia on your collar." He inquires.
"Oh uh..." Damn what do I say? I don't know myself...
"It doesn't matter." An officer comes between us and hangs his arms around both of us.
"Due to the amount of casualties we've taken, has part of the second division now." He grins widely.
"Oh, swell," Yukinoshia says.
We then hear a shout in the distance.
"Come on you sorry lot, quit lollygagging we need help with these prisoners!" We hear in the distance.
"Right, let's get to it." He officer between us says.
We follow behind, to an area filled with rows of surrendered Russians, on their knees with their hands behind their heads.
And with that, what on earth is going on!? With the gravity of the situation deteriorated... what on earth happening and where am I, were not in
Chiba anymore?!

And so this oneshot ends.
This fic is set during 1905 during the Russo-Japanese war.
I was debating between this war or the First Sino-Japanese war.
Both are centered around Korea, for the same reason really.
If you want more, let me know, if not let me know.
This time period in Japanese history is quite interesting what with their global expansion, and increased sphere of influence.
Also, the uniforms look pretty snazzy as well, look them up!
Id says theirs on par with French troops of the same period.
Anyway cya around.
P.S The anime for this chapter is Kamuy if you want to watch the anime and Kamui for the manga. It takes place in Hokkaido after the Russo-Japanese war and is loosely summarized by three words: violence, treasure, Duty. Take a look, it's an Action comedy.
