A name doesn't prove your existence

"I have a name too you know!" The blond yelled frustrated. "I have a name! It's not Number IX!" Tears began to well in the ocean eyes. "I- It- It's proof that I am someone! I am here! I'm not just some fucking material thing! I- I'm a person. Who can be hurt and loved. Yeas! Even though we're not meant to be!"

He was trying. For once he was actually trying real hard to win this. It mattered the worlds to him. To win the smarter Nobody on his side. Just this once.

"A name can prove you are here, but that doesn't mean you exist. You could be a character of someone's imagination. Like every child names their imaginary friends. Do they exist then? No. They're just illusions." The bluenette was calm as always. They had had several conversations about this but the blond had never been this persistent before.

"You are but a shadow of a person. A shadow of what there really is. You were never supposed to exist." The schemer continued quietly.

"If I wasn't supposed to exist. Then why do I?! Isn't that enough proof?" You could see the plead in the aqua eyes. The want to exist. The need to actually be something real.

"You know the thing. You may fool yourself to think you have feelings but you don't. If it makes you more confident on seeing our goal then I won't stop you. But remember this: You can fool yourself all you want, but that is not going to make them real. It's not going to make you actually feel. Just determination isn't enough. What you need is a heart."

"Are the feelings the only thing that make you a living being?" Defeat dripping from his voice.

"Not only but a part of it. You need all to be one. Like you can't have a book with two pages. You need the covers and every page. That's just what a Nobody is. A shell. To be somebody, you need feelings, shell and the mind."

The blond just looked away. Wanting to make up more arguments. Needing to make them.

The schemer shaked his head clearly showing Demyx that it was no point in trying anymoore.

"If this is all you can make up, Demyx, I must say I'm disappointed in you." Zexion turned his back on the confused blond to leave. "You could use all this energy into your missions and complete them succesfully for once." With that the shorter Nobody summoned a portal and left the ninth member alone.

Even as Zexion went back to his own experiments he had the ghost-feeling of guilt in the pit of his stomach for his words. It was all for their own good.

For the best of the whole Organization.

To get back their hearts.

For Zexion to get back his heart.

That was the most important thing.

Or was it?

A/N: Yeas this is JUST a scene. (don't why I uploaded this but I really like it)
I also tried keeping the characters in-character so would really like some criticism.
