Ok, i've noticed lots of stories on Ethan's pain and remorse, but what about Rochelle? Here's my version...one-shot deal...i don't own any characters or anything recognized as marianne curley's!

When I wake up, it feels as if though I am in a dream. Actually, I do believe that it is a dream. The sky above me has two suns of different colors! They're orange and blue. And the sky! It looks like a giant rainbow, except it has even un-nameable colors in it as well!

Weird.

I stand up, and I stare in utter amazement at the supreme being before me.

Dartemis.

He has long, golden colored hair, and golden eyes as well. He is looking down at me with a look of contemplation on his face.

"Rochelle?" he asks, even though it sounds more like a statement.

I slowly nod my head yes. I then clear my throat and ask, "Where's Ethan? Where am I? Where is everybody?" I can feel my voice start to swell with a panic. I don't understand what's going on, and then it hits me.

Marduke. The stupid, slimy nim-rod killed me. Or, actually, he tried to kill Ethan, but I jumped in front of the arrow. I look down at my chest to see my blood stained shirt. I clutch at it, and tears start to come.

"No. Sir, please tell me that it isn't true! Is Ethan OK? What about everyone else? Dartemis, sir, please tell me!" I screech in my panicked state of mind.

I need to get out of here.

Before I can even move though, Dartemis grabs my arm. "No, Rochelle. You can't leave. This is where you're soul belongs. This is your final destiny. To be here and to finally have your happy ending."

But what is happiness without Ethan? I feel lost. Just a few minutes ago, he was telling me that he loved me. He was telling me that he cared. He was holding me, and letting my heart fly.

No.

I can't accept this. I need to find a way back to my body. Why hasn't Isabel healed me yet? Why?

"She can't heal the dead," Dartemis says matter-of-factly. "You died in Ethan's arms. Isabel tried everything that she could to bring you back, and she couldn't. I'm sorry, Rochelle. But know this: you will see Ethan again. When his time comes, this is where he will end up as well. As soul-mates, you two are intertwined together, forever."

I look up at Dartemis with tears in my eyes. I don't want Ethan in any pain. I want him to be happy, to be free. I want him to know how much it is that I love him and need him. Knowing that he's hurting over my death is making me feel like I'm dying all over again.

It's hard being dead. I do know, however, that what Dartemis says is true. I will see Ethan again. His love is truly locked in my heart. My love is locked in his. I hope he knows that.

I love you Ethan. Don't ever forget me. Know that I will always watch you, and will always protect you. I hope your life is long and lasting. I hope that when you do come here, you are able to tell me the stories of your life. I love you, with all of my heart and soul. Don't ever forget that.
