Hey! Moshi, moshi! This is a one-shot told in both Neji and Hinata's point of view. This is a scene that I hope to incorporate in a future fanfic I'm writing. But for now it's this one shot...
This was inspired by—yep! I'm sure you guessed it—you know that one episode in the mist and ocean of Naruto fillers that killed off hundreds of fans and made others cry in anguish (me being one of them) where Hinata does that pretty dance that she called "training" yeah… I really liked that part… made me glad I was watching fillers…for once…
The Water Dance
The moon shone in the starless sky. A large impressive moon. A pale mirror of perfect circumference. It glowed as I stepped into the shallow pond. The clear water's surface reflected the soft moon beams. It's presence was strong. The wind blew rustling the trees around me.
Slowly I slipped off the shoulders of my kimono, falling, the silk cascaded to the ground exposing completely my body. Entering softly, slowly, my toes and soon my feet, I walked into the water. Walking in, it rose up to my ankles as I walked deeper. The water bed was nothing but soft wet sand.
This was a strange mysterious place. I kept walking but suddenly on the other side hidden by the mist of the waterfall was another figure. I trembled afraid of who was there and soon enough he showed his face.
I knew him. A tall youth, a man. Broad shoulders, long legs and hands. A graceful neck. Thin jaw line, eyes glazed a ghastly white, thin warm and gentle. A child of the moon—his mane darker than the most darkest of all sinister nights. Framing completely his face, falling, falling past his shoulders nearly reaching his waist.
His body was bare exposed without any shame and he reached out his hand to me. A first and final request. Underneath my own mine moved over his just above his and our eyes locked. A man who desired my death, now has come to understand me. For I, this whole time had understood him.
I took another step and we circled around each other gradually in gentle pace. And orchestra a dance. Swirling arms. Mirroring our poses. Every stance. Around in circles we went, that the world that night rotated. The water shifted under our ankles kicked up combined with the mist.
Glimmering like a thousand stars I danced with her. Her body slender, as she swept and took her steps. For an instant, her hand took mine and the water bed underneath our feet glowed summoning our circle.
She was the gentle dark yin. Her head rose to meet my eyes. Our circle bound together in one single string. The fierce yang that can only be controlled within her presence. Our fingers parted slowly slipping away. Transcending, descending through, we danced passing into time and lost grasp of when and what.
Our bodies soaked with mist and sweat. The perfume of her long hair filled my nose, blissfully my mind floated away falling away…
End
Notes: This is not a story—this is a possible scene for a story… I just wanted to share it to all the Neji/Hina fans out there… hope you all like!
