A/N: Hello, faithful readers! Welcome to Promptmania. Here's how it works: I have 40 Divas/female wrestlers, 40 male wrestlers, and 40 emotions/nouns/actions. Pick two names and an emotion/noun/action, and write what comes to mind. I have 15 completed already, so I'll post one every few days. They'll be fairly short, anywhere from 300-500 words depending on where my mind goes. For every 5 I post, whoever reviews first on the fifth one gets a one shot with the couple and situation of their choosing. So… here we go. Hope you enjoy. I cannot emphasize enough: NOT ALL SITUATIONS WILL BE SEXUAL. In fact, most of them aren't. And now, away we go.

Pairing: Steve Austin/Mickie James
Prompt: Insomnia
Mickie rolled over in bed for the seventh time in two minutes. She sighed, giving up, and rolled out of the bed and slid her feet into her slipper boots. She'd been having trouble sleeping over the past few weeks. The Diva Battle Royal at Summerslam was going to be hell tomorrow with no sleep, but the disintegration of her relationship with John had been affecting her more than she'd wanted to admit. For a while, she'd really thought he was the one. Believed him when he said he'd leave his wife for her. So she'd fucked over Kenny, who had genuinely loved and cared about her, for John, who had used her up, bled her dry, and left her heartbroken. Deciding she needed a drink if she was going to think about these things, Mickie pulled on a pair of jeans over her boy short pajamas, ran her fingers through her hair, and headed out the door of her hotel room. Since it was almost 3am, the hotel bar was closed, so she headed across the street to where there were still neon lights blinking and sat down at the bar, ordering a whiskey neat. She knocked it back and winced at the burn. She was surprised to hear a gruff voice to her left.
"Her next is one me," Mickie turned to see Steve Austin sitting a few seats down from her.
"Thanks," she said. He nodded to her, his eyes surprisingly kind and understanding.
"No problem, darlin'. No one should drink alone."
