She knew who he was before he did.
She (and her optional protege) rip power out of the hands of the undeserving, expose lies and corruption, and enjoy it intensely, whether through the thrill of the investigation or through the thrill of the success it doesn't entirely matter.
Christine knows the power behind what she does and she knows that people listen to her, that she has followers.

And she knows that she can use what she has (beauty, brains, connections, masks, but mostly brains) to get information and keep people on their toes.
They used to underestimate her a lot more (she was younger then, newer, fresh out of school, baby-faced and blonde, idealistic and reliant on other people and their connections. now she's older, matured, with a reputation in the industry, with sharp angles and a sniping realism and connections of her own. she's still blonde though, she likes blonde). There are still those fools (old and balding, far too comfortable in their plush seats of power)who underestimate her though, and don't think to check her online presence where she clearly states her education ("technically, I'm a doctor, but 'miss' opens so many more doors"), and don't think to take more than a cursory glance at her past work (far, far too comfortable).
She specializes in throwing people off their game, in getting them comfortable (far, far too comfortable) and yanking it all out from under them. It used to be a game (Christi, why'd you do that? it's the only way they accept that i'm just as good as they are), maybe a con (grey for the ones who know her, blue for the ones who like her eyes, red for the ones with hubris stamped across their faces like giant CONFIDENTIAL notices), always an investigation (the yellow hardcover spines of her favourite childhood book series boast of strawberry-blonde sass and an unrelenting pursuit of the truth), and it's a necessity because someone needs to keep those people in the plush seats aware of the world around them and if she happens to be that person then so be it. She will be that person who looks beyond the curtain and speaks to the Wizard and tells him that even though she isn't a witch (north, south, east, west) she is The Writer and he's living in the story of Oz (the Wizard's story or Dorothy's, she's always preferred Dorothy's).
Triple J can yell himself hoarse all he wants. He's good, but she's better, and she'll grind the plush pillows beneath her heels as she kicks him off his plush seat. She'll replace the plush seats with ladders that break through the clouds and continue to be built until they reach past the stars (the glass her head has been hitting lately will be demolished with mallets, replaced with a single-level open floor plan and ceilings rendered nonexistent - her dream house).
A/N: "the yellow hardcover spines of her favourite childhood book series boast of strawberry-blonde sass and an unrelenting pursuit of the truth" (para. 6) is a reference to the original Nancy Drew book series. The Oz, Wizard, Witches, Dorothy etc. are all references to the Wizard of Oz. Triple J is, in fact, J. Jonah Jameson. I borrowed the Twitter format. To the best of my knowledge the website .com does not exist, at least not in the form I have Christine using it.
The title is a reference to Christine at the end of Iron Man, in my eyes, clearly well aware prior to Tony's announcement that he was Iron Man. I think she knew what he was going to do before he did it, because she's a people person.
