This story is in honour of season 4. I hope you all like it, I've been wanting to see how different things would be if the kids were teenagers, so I thought why not write a story about it? And also include some major Nerrison while I'm at it! I don't know if I'll be including other pairs at the moment, but who knows. Anyways, I hope you guys like the first chapter!

It was that time of year again - the return to Camp Campbell. Sure, the camp was a shit place, but Nerris couldn't be more excited to return. She had made some pretty great friends over the past few years, and the thought of seeing all of them in less than five minutes was too much for the 15 year old girl to handle.

"Are we nearly there, yet?" she asked her father, who was driving, for the umpteenth time that morning. Her mother, in the passenger seat, simply smiled as she looked in the rear-view mirror and said, "Nerris, be patient, hon. We still have a little ways to go."

"Mu-um," Nerris groaned as she collapsed into her seat. Usually on a long trip like this she would be reading, but her current book, The Name of the Wind, just didn't do itself justice at keeping the girl preoccupied when the prospect of returning to camp was just miles away.

"Speaking of this camp, I bet you're excited to see all your old friends again. Especially that Harrison boy you keep talking about non-stop," her dad commented as he kept his eyes on the road.

Nerris tried to hide her embarrassment, but failed miserably. "Dad! I already told you, he's just a frie- someone I know. It's complicated."

Nerris' mother laughed. "Oh hon, I think it's adorable that you have a little boyfriend. Harrison seems like a very nice boy."

Nerris was appalled. "MUM! How could you - he's not, I mean... we're not... ew, that's gross!"

Her parents simply laughed at their daughter's reaction. "Oh, look - I think I can see something up ahead, Nerrie," her mother pointed to the Camp Campbell sign, which they were fast approaching in the distance.

"Finally!" Nerris exclaimed excitedly, as they drove underneath the arched sign, which spelled out Camp Cam - one of the p's fell off the previous summer. As soon as the car pulled up in front of the camp, Nerris saw that she wasn't the first one who had arrived early. Nikki and her mum were there, with Neil and his dad (they had obviously come together as they were married). There was also Ered, Dolph, Max, and Nurf. No sign of Preston or Harrison, or Space Kid yet.

"NERRIS!" Nerris turned around to find Nikki rushing towards her - the two had become closer over the past few years, being one of the only girls in the entire camp, their friendship was bound to happen eventually.

Nerris laughed as Nikki threw her arms around her. "Hi, Nikki!" she returned the hug. "Long time no see, huh?"

"Tell me about it. I missed you," Nikki said. She hadn't changed much over the years, apart from growing taller, and developing, just like Nerris and Ered - she was still the same wild tomboy that Nerris had grown to love. Oh, and her hair had been cut short. That was the only main difference that had changed since last year.

"Me too, I couldn't wait to come back this year!"

"Now that's something I'd disagree on."

Nerris and Nikki turned to see Max and Neil walking over to the girls, Max had grown taller (and muscular) he still dressed in the same skinny jeans and hoodies, and his hair was still the same as it had been at 10 years old. Neil on the other hand, was still as lanky as ever, but he'd grown a lot taller since last year.

The stoic 14-year-old smirked at Nerris, "it wouldn't be Camp Camp without the second best magic kid, though. Good to see you, Nerris."

Nerris rolled her eyes at Max's comment. Sure, they had developed a somewhat mutual understanding over the years, but Max still loved to cause strife between the two magic kids at camp, and he achieved that last summer by dubbing Harrison as the "best magic kid" and Nerris as the "second-best magic kid"... you could already imagine the amount of arguments it caused between her and Harrison.

Nerris was about to reply, but just before she could say anything, her parents returned after speaking with the other kids' parents. "Alright hon, we've gotta go now. Promise me you'll be safe, okay?" Nerris' mum appeared next to her. Nikki, Max and Neil began discussing who knows what as they headed back to their own perspective families so Nerris could say goodbye to her parents.

Nerris threw her arms around her mother's waist as she hugged her one last time. "Bye, mum, I'll miss you!"

Her mother smiled down at her as she returned the hug. "We'll miss you too, Nerrie."

"Bye, dad!" Nerris hugged her father who started to tear up. "Oh dad, don't cry."

"S-sorry. I j-just can't help it! I'm gonna miss you so much... who am I going to play DnD (Dungeons and Dragons) with now?" her father started bawling as Nerris' mum patted him on the back.

"Don't worry, dad. I'll be back before you know it." Nerris told her father.

"He'll be fine, come on, dear. Have fun, Nerris!"

Nerris watched her parents go. She waved until the car had left the camp ground, backing out onto the main road.

"Alright campers, time to say your last goodbyes... it's time for some summer fun! Gather round, kids." A cheery voice she knew all too well called in front of the counsellor's cabin.

Nerris joined the others where David and Gwen were standing. "Looks like we're missing two campers. Hmmm, they could just be running late - oh, wait, I think I see one pulling up now!"

All the campers turned to the car that had just pulled up at the driveway. The door opened to reveal none other than Harrison, who had jumped out with his duffel bag and backpack and quickly closed the door without saying goodbye to his parents.

Nerris watched as he ran over to join the rest of the group. The young sorceress noted that he had grown over the past year, and he had a similar body shape to Max's. His hair was still messy and brown like it had always been and he was dressed in his usual magician's outfit, but without the top hat this time.

"Sorry I'm late," Harrison said to David and Gwen as he approached the group.

"Good to see you, Harrison! My, you've certainly grown since last summer!" Harrison blushed as David noticed his growth spurt.

"Yeah, you're like a giant now!" Nikki declared as she stood next to Harrison. She was almost a foot shorter in comparison. "Oooh, can you do a trick? Please?" Nikki begged him.

"Okay, fine... Prepare to be amazed," Harrison thought for a moment, before reaching behind Nikki's back and revealing the camp's mascot, the platypus.

"Woah! That was amazing!" Nikki exclaimed as she made a grab for the platypus, which just ran off in fright.

"Yeah, Harrison. No wonder you're the best magic kid... Nerris would never be able to do half the shit that you do." Max declared, smirking at both magic kids in turn.

Nerris glared at Max.

"Okay! Everyone inside!" David interrupted quickly, as if he sensed an argument brewing even before it started.

"Nice save there, David," Ered said coolly as she entered the mess hall.

"Why thank you, Ered!"

Nerris fell behind the rest of the group as they entered the hall.

"Well, you certainly have grown," a deep voice made her jump in fright, and the young sorceress nearly lost her balance but a pair of arms caught her just in time and helped her regain her stature.

Nerris glanced at Harrison, and just rolled her eyes and said, "yeah, it's called puberty."

"Clearly your personality hasn't changed either... unfortunately." Harrison smirked at the girl as they rejoined the group, who had all stopped talking about the upcoming activities that David and Gwen (mostly David) had planned for this summer.

"And you are still just as annoying and pathetic as ever, Harrison!" Nerris snapped in return.

Max, who was sitting between the two, suddenly interrupted them and said, "how could you say that Nerris? You know, Harrison, just before you got here she was going on and on about how much she loved you and missed you and - "

"Shut. Up. Max." Nerris almost yelled. "I did not say that and you know it!"

Max just smirked at her. "Oh, really? So now you try to act like you weren't totally gushing over Harrison right before he came - " Max was interrupted by a ferocious yell from Nerris. She had pretty much launched herself at the other boy and started attacking and punching him in any way possible.

"NERRIS! STOP IT! MAX DON'T DO THAT PLEASE!" David yelled desperately, it wasn't even noon and there had already been an argument.

"My god you're crazy!" Max shouted at her as Gwen and Nikki tried to get him away from her.

Nerris was fuming - she had a crazy look in her eyes that made all the other campers back away, especially Harrison.

"Nerris, just - just calm down okay?" David tried to make everything better as he always did. "That's it... nice deep breaths."

"You ever say shit like that again and I will kill you!" Nerris said and got in Max's face.

Max, however, simply smirked and said, "Damn, Nerris... Didn't know you had it in you."

He threw an arm around the still fuming girl and announced to the rest of the group,

"Fuck, it's good to be back!"

I'd love to hear your thoughts and what you would like to see happen in the future chapters. Thanks for reading!
