What if?
(My idea of what could've happened…)
Set during season 3 finale…
I brought some coffee in to the boathouse, two cups; one for me and the other for our notorious guest; The Chameleon also known as Marcel Janvier.
I'll be honest I felt uneasy around this particular "villain" or "bad guy" he was trying to split the team up and was doing a pretty good job. I tried not to be social, I tried not to be in any way kind what-so-ever, but this guy was creepy and at the same time charming…
"Detective Deeks isn't it?" Janvier said in a thick accent,
"That's me," I said in a monotone. I desperately wanted to know why someone would do this, so I thought why not ask?
"Hey, so why are you doing all of this to Callen especially now?"
"Why not? Why did I miss a 'memo' saying revenge must take 3- 4 months extra time, before action can occur" He laughed at my expression.
I started to piece everything together, he seemed to know what I was thinking about and his hands started to clench and his jaw went into a tight – stern look.
Suddenly, my phone started ringing, so the detective laid down the coffee's and left the room for some privacy to talk to his partner. The stunning Kensi Blye.
After I'd spoken to her and was told that I'd have to watch "our guest" for a few minutes while she drove to the boatshed, I decided to take a break and think about other things… I was so happy that I had some idea about what was going to happen, and what he was up to, ahhh I felt useful and so in control. I sat down and made myself comfortable to read the paper.
Unfortunately I remembered my coffee so I went back in to the interrogation, to retrieve it.
"Nice phone call? Agent Blye is lucky to have you, it'd be a shame, if you were suddenly gone" he said with a smirk, that I detested.
Oblivious to its meanings I replied; "It'd be too quiet if I left." I chuckled to myself thinking about everyone's insults, and about how chatty I really was.
I went back outside to get the Newspaper while I waited for Kens, had a mouthful of my coffee which oddly tasted foul, I made a mental note never to go there again.
In other places; while driving Sam and Callen were have their usual banter, "so, what do you think Deeks is doing now?" said Callen looking out the window at the traffic,
"hmm, probably reading the paper, waiting for Kensi" while looking over the steering wheel. Intrigued Callen asked "Why waiting for Kensi?" Sam sighed and looked at his partner and Callen suddenly felt that he was missing something "Deeks likes to make sure Kensi's all right, that and his 'thing' for her"
"oh yeah,"
As Callen and Sam were pulling in to the car park, they saw an ambulance, they quickly looked at each other and began a sprint to see what happened.
"KENSI" Callen shouted, as he saw an angry and upset Agent Blye pacing holding her partners badge and gun, seemingly a memorable situation from when the Detective had gotten shot.
