Hello dear readers, few as you may be, I am alive but have been having some family issues so I haven't been able to upload anything, much less write. So since I had some free time today, here is a short story thing. I will get around to adding to my other story thing, but I just wanted this one to be separate for no reason in particular really. Basically sometime after Sweeney kills Pirelli, and Sweeney and Lovett have started killing and baking people into pies, but before the Final Scene in the movie. Toby is living with Lovett in this fic but it only briefly mentions it, just to clear up anything that may be questioned.
Disclaimer: Do not own anything. I did get a Bellatrix shirt however, and am going to wear it tonight when I see Part two of the final Harry Potter movie:D
Word Count (not including disclaimer, A/N, and the like): 372
Rating: T for slight implication, very small, and one word that some find disagreeable. Just to be safe:)
They go through this act every day. It's all she has, she needs this.
She pretends that everything is alright. That they are a perfect family, the three of them. Yet Eleanor, as practical as she is, can't help but try to hold on to this illusion that she has created. It can't last forever, she knows that. She doesn't know when but she knows that she has to make the best out of it.
After he kills the judge, gets his revenge, who knows what he will do. Maybe he'll leave her. He probably won't even remember her, the one woman who did everything for him, would do anything.
But she won't forget him.
That's why she needs these small moments they share. He allows her to kiss him, to hold and touch him, and he responds. But the responses are automatic, they lack the passion and love that she yearns for. Eleanor knows, that when they go through these rituals, he does not think of the fiery redhead on top of him. That any love she feels radiating from him, is not for her.
She knows that her Mister Todd is thinking of the one with yellow hair. That innocent, carefree, silly little ditz without a practical thought in her head.
His Lucy.
She isn't the only one who pretends. Sweeney pretends every night during the act that he must take part in. Pretends that Lucy is alive, that nothing has changed even though he knows that everything has.
But he needs this as much as she does.
She may think that he only does this so that he can ensure their business agreements, but that is far from the truth. In reality there are only three things that keep him alive. His wife and Johanna, they are what he spends most of his time thinking of. They are why he kills and yearns for the judge's blood. Then there is the judge himself, the act of carrying revenge out on that bastard who ruined his life. The idea of this revenge is fuelled by the thoughts of his family and is what keeps Mrs. Lovett's shop afloat.
And finally, there is the charade they share, that they have created.
Thankyou for reading dears:) Hope you liked it and pleasepleaseplease review.
