"And then, we can put up big purple banners! You know, purple is a color of royalty! What do you think, Haruhi?"
"That's great, Tamaki…" The brown-haired girl sighed as she brushed her hair away from her eyes. She glanced up and gave the blonde a quick, half-hearted smile before returning to the thick law book that she was reading.
"Haruhi… Are you listening to me?" Tamaki asked, kneeling next to her.
"Not now!" she told him sternly, holding one finger up at him.
"Are you sure?" he asked, putting an arm around her waist and pulling her close to him. She yelped as the heavy book fell off of the table, and she tumbled into Tamaki's lap.
"Tamaki, stop it. I have to study for this test, and I can't have you disturbing me, okay?" Haruhi ordered sharply, picking herself back up and paging through the textbook.
"But we still have to plan for the wedding!" he proclaimed, jumping up. "That's just as important as your test! Even more so!"
"Tamaki…" she groaned, covering her ears with her hands. "How are you so crazy and hyper all the time? Don't you ever crash?"
"Crash?" The blonde stopped dancing around the room and stared at his fiancée.
"Yeah, crash." At his confused look, she continued. "You know… when you feel drained after being energetic all day?"
"Is that a commoner term?" he asked. His face was suddenly two inches away from her.
"Yes! Now I'm going to study, okay? And I swear, if you interrupt me one more time…" she trailed off as Tamaki dragged himself to his feet and shuffled across the room, collapsing into a couch and covering his face with his hands. "What are you doing?"
"Is this… what happens… when you crash?" The words came out drawled and slow as he peeked through his fingers at her.
"Um, yes?" she responded, raising her eyebrows and tilting her head to the side.
"Oh, I get it! Like Kyouya in the morning!" Tamaki proclaimed, jumping up from his lying position.
"No. That's just plain scary," Haruhi disagreed, shaking her head as she looked back down at her book.
"I don't think it would be fun acting like that, though," Tamaki mused, sitting across from her at the table. "It's a weird sort of feeling."
"You mean you've never felt that way before in your life?" the brown-haired girl asked skeptically.
"Nope! That's the first time I've ever crashed! It was sort of exciting!" he chirped happily in response.
"How about you go 'crash' some more, then?" Haruhi asked, in a desperate ploy to be rid of him.
"I don't think so! I'd rather help you on your test! So what's this test about?" The blonde asked, trying to read the book upside-down. Haruhi sighed and pointed out the terms with a slight smile on her face.
Sure, he may have been the wackiest boyfriend ever.
But in the end, deep down inside, somewhere… she loved him for it.
