Shelby turned over to face Scott in the bed. He was still asleep. Shelby liked it when she was the only one in the house who was awake. She could actually do something for herself for a change. No having to worry about LeAnn for thirty whole minutes. Shelby gently touched Scott's cheek, then kissed it. Then she stood up, put on her pink fuzzy robe, and headed for the kitchen. The first thing she wanted was a warm cup of coffee to start off the cold day that was ahead. She had already watched the news the night before, and it was snow and more snow. Shelby didn't think living in New York City was a privalage. Most of all, she didn't like having to stay busy. Scott was the one who worked, but she still had to go out in the city rush and do everything. There was always something to get done, but she never finished.

"Hey." Scott said as he walked up behind her and planted a soft kiss on her neck.

"Hey." Shelby replied. "What are you doing up so early?"

"Well, I felt somebody kiss my face." Scott said as he sat down in a chair. "Then I couldn't go back to sleep."

Shelby sat down beside of Scott and placed an envelope on the table.

"What's this?" Scott asked as he picked up the envelope.

"That's our electric bill." Shelby replied as she opened it and showed him. "It's the final notice. All of our bills are the final notice, Scott. I can't do this on my own."

"You're not doing any of this alone." Scott replied. "Shel, I've been working every day."

"Yeah, at a damn grocery store." Shelby said. "Scott how are we going to keep living here if we can't afford to pay our bills?"

"I don't know." Scott said. "Maybe we could find a cheap two bedroom apartment that will at least do until we get back on our feet."

"I don't want to move againe Scott." Shelby explained. "LeAnn's just now getting used to this place."

"LeAnn's a baby." Scott explained. "She'll understand why we had to move so much when she gets older."

Tears fell down Shelby's face.

"We've been through hell and back to give her the perfect life that we couldn't have." Shelby said. "And now it's all backfiring on us again. What is so wrong with us raising a baby?"

"Nothing." Scott replied. "Shelby, we won't move anymore I promise. You, me, and LeAnn are going to stay put. No more moving around from state to state. No more actually having to have people support us."
