"I want twenty-three small wishes"

"Whoa, you'll have to write them all down so I don't forget."

Even as he lied there under the stars her voice still rang in Zack's head. He had to keep his promise to her as well as make her wish come true. He turned his head and glanced at Cloud. He laid there emotionless and he could tell the Mako was eating away at him. Zack frown and sat up crawling over to him. His own blue eyes staring into the teen's, "Don't worry Cloud, once we get back to Midgar and meet up with Arieth you'll be as good as new."

He smiled a bit and ran his hand through those soft locks of blonde hair. Some where deep down, Zack's gut told him his friend wasn't going to make it and that Sephiroth had a right to do what he did… well most of it. Shinra, SOLDIER, and everything it was… was a lie within itself. It was the only reason why they were both in this situation, running for their lives. Zack smiled and shook away his gut feeling and patted his friend's shoulder, "Don't worry Spike, you'll be fine in now time."

"Well, I combined all of my Tiny Wishes into one."

"Well, what is it?"

"To Spend more time with you."

The days' following after their escape wasn't an easy one. They were run away failed experiments, or that's what Zack thought. It was also hard running when Cloud was well... like this. It was hard for Zack to see him like this. His gut feeling became stronger till it came near the end of their run. They had finally made it to the outskirts of Midgar and Zack's bright smile came back. He turned and looked down at his friend, "See that Spike? That's Midgar, our home with Arieth." He sighed and sat his friend down looking at him, "Stay put."

Zack turned and went ahead to make sure the path was clear, it wasn't like he was going to move anytime soon anyway. He grinned from ear to ear as he got a close look at Midgar and that's when he knew he would keep his promise.

"Zack Fair! First Class SOLDIER, you have betrayed Shinra and a hereby to be exterminated!" Someone, he guessed the person that was leading the squad.

Zack grimaced and he sighed. Cloud and Arieth would have to wait a bit longer. As he drew his sword ready to attack and defend himself, that's when his life flashed in a blur. Before he knew it he was on the ground unable to move. He guessed whatever Hojo had done to him had done a big number. He winced and grinned seeing Cloud. He was so happy to see he was okay and that his gut was wrong. His vision was failing him as he coughed up blood and he could tell by the look on his friend's face he knew it was bad.

He smiled and handed Cloud his Buster Blade, "H-Here… Live… for the both of us." He could only smiled watching Cloud take his sword, "You're my legacy…" With that his eyes slowly closed and that was the last he saw of Cloud…

"Those wings… I want them…"

Well so he thought. He watched his friend as he woke with a start and headed down the stairs of his house. Zack chuckled and shook his head. Since he had gotten his wings he made sure to watch over Cloud and Arieth… Well he kept his promise to her even though it wasn't how he wanted it. Arieth smiled walking up by Zack, "Spying again?" she said with a laugh.

Zack looked down at her, "Hey, I told myself I would keep an eye on him." He turned and watched Cloud once more and shook his head speaking to him.

"Hehe, Spike stop downing yourself. You'll get your wings some day…"

Okay I have Cloud and Zack's done, Arieth's will be up soon :]

Please tell me what you think of them and sadly I do not own FF 7 ;~;
