Neither the plot or characters are mine! Enjoy!

Percy is sitting on the couch with his wife when the doorbell rings. It's Christmas Eve, and he can't possibly think of anything better to do than sit on the couch with the love of his life, watching terribly cheesy Christmas movies and eating buttery popcorn.

"I'll get it," he says, standing up and running to the door. He opens it, and standing there is none other than Jason Grace, Percy's wife's best friend, holding what looks to be poster board and a radio.

"Who is it?!" Annabeth calls, and Percy is about to answer when Jason hurriedly holds up the first piece of posterboard.

Say it's carol singers.

Uncertain, Percy follows the directions on the board, and Annabeth replies with, "Oh just tell them to buzz off!" and begins the movie. Jason sets down the radio and turns on Silent Night, sung by some angsty female artist Percy can't quite put a name to.

Jason pulls back the first card and put it under the pile. The one underneath reads:

Hopefully by next year

Percy frowns.

I'll be dating one of these girls

Percy's frown turns into a grin as Jason pulls back that card to reveal a bunch of basically naked or lingerie covered girls.

But for now let me say

Percy's smile softens, as he watches snow fall into Jason's hair. It's blond, just like Percy's wife's, and glints almost gold in the harsh moonlight.

Without hope or agenda

Where is this going?

Just because it's Christmas

Does this have something to do with those tapes Jason has? That video of Percy and Annabeth's wedding that is, well, just Percy…. Jason didn't need to apologize. It was actually kind of sweet…

(And because Christmas is a time when you tell the truth)

Percy cocks his head slightly to the right.

I think you are perfect.

Percy feels his mouth go dry, his heart thudding against his ribcage like mad. Was Jason seriously…?

And my wasted heart will love you

Percy's heart is beating so fast now, he's afraid Jason will hear it through the soft cotton of his shirt. Hopefully, the Silent Night still playing will drown it out.

Until you look like this.

Percy laughs, despite the tazmanian devil dance his heart and head are doing, as Jason reveals a card adorned with a picture of a mutilated skeleton. Jason smiles a little himself when he sees Percy laugh.

Merry Christmas

Percy whispers the words, and looks at Jason with wide eyes. What is he supposed to do now?

But Jason just gives a slight nod of his head, grabs his radio, and begins to walk back down the street. Percy evaluates the beating of his heart, the kindness, sweetness, and love Jason just revealed to him, the rush in his head, and makes a split-second descision.

The raven-haired man runs down the street through the snow drifting down from the heavens, grabs Jason by the lapels of his coat, and kisses him. Then, after that's done, he brushes off the coat he'd just grabbed, says, "Goodnight," and runs back to his awaiting wife.

"Enough," Jason whispers into the night, as the man he loves disappears, and he wanders back towards his flat, "That's enough now."
