Hello there Folks,
Just a little one shot I had written before and just recently found while searching through the stories I have written. This one was the only one even remotely close to being publishable, so here I am publishing this on whim.
Heres to hoping it bodes over well.
I don't think there is any other warnings but that this does not have a Beta.
Don't get him wrong, he loved his team, and his job. He gladly would have stayed if it was his choice.
What had started out as letters in the mail -which he had disregarded due to a lack of interest and a like of his current position- had turned into visitations from the people from the agency, and from there had turned into a meeting with the director himself. Although the director's arguments were not thoroughly convincing, he had found himself signing the papers for his transfer.
Of course the team had been supportive, and some had even congratulated him on what looked to be a step up from the BAU. When asked where he was going Spencer had told them it was classified information, which wasn't a lie, but the whole truth was that Spencer was not told the location until arrival at his destination.
The team helped him pack up his apartment and move everything into storage. They had even thrown him a going away party, which was cut short by a sobbing Henry clinging to his leg and refusing to let go.
That was the first time he felt the sting of loss that leaving the people he considered family would bring.
The day he left, he was escorted by heavily armed guards to a private airstrip. Spencer had been expecting a helicopter, or maybe a small plane. He was not expecting the large jet carrying the S.H.I.E.L.D logo on the side.
Before getting on the plane, Spencer was greeted by a kind looking make in a suit, with brown hair and a small smile.
"Ah, you must be Dr. Reid, our new profiler. My name is Agent Coulson. Behind me is what we call the Bus and it will be your new home for however long you chose to work for S.H.I.E.L.D."
