I miss you Daddy . . . .
[A/N: I just felt like writing this!]
Summary: Troy and Gabriella had a 5-year-old daughter named Destiny. One day, Troy got into an accident and eventually died after months in coma. A year of misery passed, and Destiny misses her dad badly.
'It's been a year Daddy, I really, really miss you.' Destiny wrote in her diary.
"Destiny, come and have dinner," Gabriella came out of the kitchen.
As she walked into the living room, she saw her little Destiny with moist cheeks, staring into the diary. She sighed and smiled as her daughter looked up at her.
"Is Daddy joining us today?" the 5-year-old asked as her mother just giggled at that. "I miss Dinners with him."
She walked to Destiny and knelt down to the girl sitting on the couch. She gave her a tight, warm hug and pulled away, holding onto her elbows.
"It's okay," Gabriella told her,"Daddy's safe in a beautiful place called Heaven," she said in an soft, assuring tone.
"I've never heard of that place before?" she lifted up an eyebrow. "Is it really beautiful?"
"Yea," she replied softly with a nod,"come on. Let's go and eat."
Gabriella carried Destiny and leaned her on her hip. She sat Destiny down on the chair and then sat on her chair.
'We had your favourite dinner tonight. I ate it all up! :D Even though I don't like carrots,' Destiny wrote. 'I learned how to swim this Summer, thanks to Uncle Chad! He even taught me to be brave and now I can open my eyes underwater. But I do miss my greatest daddy playing in the water with me.. Mummy's always sad now. She will always say "she's okay" when I know she's lying..'
Destiny sat on the swing of the playground while Gabriella never took her eyes off of her daughter from afar, giving her some space. Destiny looked at all the children with both their parents, she looked down sadly when she saw a family poking each other playfully. Her Mother thinking it's enough for her poor daughter, she brought Destiny home.
Destiny flopped on her bed, gazing at the ceiling. Gabriella knocked on the girl's door with a glass of milk and a plate of cookies in her hands. She placed it on the little table next to the princess bed, glancing at the framed photo of Destiny, Troy and her and sat down. Destiny crawled up into her mothers arms.
"I remember how Daddy used to tickle me," Destiny said softly, turning her head to her smiling mother.
"He'd always tickle your belly!" Gabriella attacked Destiny's belly until she rolled off of her to the space on the bed, next to her.
"My belly hurts," she pouted with her eyes filling with tears.
"Oh sweetie I'm sorry," Gabriella apologised.
"I'll not cry," she sniffed.
"Honey, it's okay," she pinched Destiny's cheek.
"Daddy don't like it when I cry. He never wanted me to be sad," Destiny said cheerfully.
Gabriella smiled with a slight chuckle. Silence passed.
"Is it true he's not coming home?" Destiny asked softly. Her blue eyes looking helpless.
Gabriella looked at her daughter with a sigh and she sadly looked away thinking of an answer. Her gaze locked back onto Destiny.
"That's enough questions for one day Sweetie," she spoke calmly. "Drink your milk," she handed the glass to Destiny.
Gabriella tucked her precious Destiny in bed and gave her a peck on the forehead.
'It's time for me to go to bed now. I sleep with the light on just in case you come home, and kiss me goodnight. Maybe someday, I can go visit you in Heaven okay? Goodnight, I love you..' she stopped writing.
"I miss you Daddy," she whispered and drifted to sleep.
