A/N – Per a suggestion left at Counting Sheppards I wrote up this little diddly. It was also written to cheer up a friend. If my creativity continues at this level, I might just end up with a small series of dream one-shots. That could be fun.

Summary – Sometimes eating certain foods before going to bed will make you dream some funny dreams. This time it's Carson's turn.

Peeps

When Carson started to rouse, his sleep-muddled brain could already tell that today would be a hard day to get out of bed. He felt warm and safe and as if nothing could harm him while he lay here.

He lay on his stomach, his paws tucked under him, his ears…

Carson opened his eyes. Something wasn't quite right. He could tell from his pink little bunny nose to the tips of his little bunny toes.

What the bloody hell, he thought as he opened his eyes. He was in someone's lap in a room that looked sort of brown. Or, at least, he thought it was brown; everything was just different shades of grey.

"Look who finally woke up," came a female voice above and behind him. He looked that way.

"I didn't know rabbits fell asleep in people's lap," came another female voice from somewhere further away.

His nose started to twitter.

"He's sort of a special little guy," said the first voice. "Little Beckett Bun-buns. Yes, you are; my special little sweetums."

She must know my mum…

A finger that he assumed belonged to the voice started to scratch behind his ear. It was pleasant, but he started to panic. What the hell was this?

It must have been the Peeps. If a rabbit were able to grimace, he would.

Kicking off with his back feet, Carson landed first on a couch and with another leap, he was on something hard—a coffee table.

"Look at that, he wants to have an adventure." The second voice laughed. The laughter got closer and a pair of gentle hands lifted him off the table. His nose and whiskers started to go crazy this time and he had a flash of terror before he was safely on his feet again. Carpet. It smelled somewhat foul.

Dogs.

Ah, crap.

He hopped five feet and then he hopped five feet more. There was a step in front of him and a long hallway and though he didn't quite now what he was doing or where he was going, he was determined to reach the end.

And then he was flying.

"That's enough of an adventure for you, Becky," said the first voice. She cradled him in her arms and, with a mental sigh (since bunny rabbits cannot actually sigh) he burrowed his head in the crook of her arm. Maybe if he just went back to sleep…

When he opened his eyes once again, Carson was back in his own bed and, more importantly, human. A smile crossed his face. It failed a moment later, however, as his eyes fell on some packaging across the room. Standing up and hopping his way across an extremely cold floor, he picked up the box of pink bunny rabbit Peeps and threw them in the nearest bin.

"No wonder I only ever eat them at Easter," he muttered as he crawled back beneath his covers. It was too early to be up and the darkness outside encouraged sleep but, perchance to dream, he picked up a book instead to wile away the early morning hours.

Little bunny Foo Foo hopping through the forest…
