This story is a gift and a, what I hope, good reply to my friend's challenge. Hope you like it,consider it a gift from me to you..if you don't...well...that's a different is based on a tale, so she asked me to do a snippet BKK style.
The doll-maker
Distinct clunks were heard as a man set his ceramic pots of coloured ink down on a low table beside him , hunched over a life sized doll placed on a futon as he knelt . His eyes were carefully trailing the strokes from his brush then dipping it into the pot filled with sapphire coloured ink intricately filling in the details of its eyes.
He leaned back a bit and admired his handiwork.
Perfect.
Every inch of it was perfect. His thoughts held no lecherous desire as he dressed the figure it was his job after all.
His last task was to secure its silky locks with a cloth ribbon.
Task completed , he stood her up against the shelf and examined it making sure no details were out of place . His eyes went up to its almost luminous alabaster skin down to its tabi clad feet.
She had enchanted him the moment he chanced meeting her . Such a pretty smile .
His violet orbs suddenly flared a glittering gold . Just thinking about her
His thoughts were neatly cut when he heard a low moan beside him.
Ah .. so the mind numbing drug that was acting on her is beginning to wear off.
A corner of his mouth tugged upwards . He had used her as the perfect model . Beautiful she looked so delectable with her kimono parted like that and he could catch glimpses of her perfectly shaped leg through the slit in her garment. She looked so much like a doll.
Untarnished , free from imperfections.
Calmly , he glided over to her side on the futon at the far end of the room and knelt down beside her , caressing her cheek.
Her eyes glanced dully at him before sliding out of focus again.
She shut her eyes and won back her focus . Her lips formed his name.
Kenshin?
