And Then the Sky Rained Fire

Chapter 1: Gone...

Note from Roll: Mwee XD Just had to write this one. It's already on my dA thingeh, but why not, eh? Plus I'm sure you're all bored of my MegaMan fics, so here's something different.

Everybody knew that Cackletta's power was gone, kaput. But they knew she'd return. Fawful would return. VILLAINS of all sorts would return.

And that's when the sky rained fire.

In Bowser's fortress in the sky, the battle was almost ended.

Mario bounced off Luigi and thwacked Cackletta with a hammer. She shuddered a little and growled, Fawful hovering nearby. Cackletta grinned widely. "M-Mario… And Luigi…. DO NOT FORGET! I AM NOT gone… You will not survive my final a-attack! NOW! THINK YOUR LAST THOUGHTS, FOR DOWN YOU GO!"

She took a large slash at them and shot stars and fireballs, but Mario and Luigi easily dodged. They attacked Cackletta with their Fire Bros. and Thunder Bros. attacks. Before she burst into stars, Fawful's eyes grew wide and he tugged at her dress. "M-MISSTRESS CACKLETTA! What is of the wrongness!"

Then there was the explosion. Mario and Luigi flew out of the castle, hanging onto a piece of curtain as a parachute. Fawful followed, headgear malfunctioning.

"I have FURY! You fink-rats will not escape!" he cried, but his words were lost to the howling winds. His voice then gave up on him, freeing him of speech entirely. Debris whirled around his head, fiery and very close to him. Fearing they would scorch him, Fawful curled up into a ball to protect himself.

The sky was now truly raining fire. He glared at Mario and Luigi, who were now almost specks in the distance. Fawful was furious. But he couldn't worry about that any more. He was now worrying about Cackletta.

Then he heard a louder explosion.

All Fawful's hopes of finding his mistress seemed to be dashed.

For the castle had just exploded.

With Cackletta still inside.

Fawful's voice freed up again, at least for a while. Tears ran down his face.

"NOOOOOO! It is gone of the disappearingness!

Gone…

Gone..."

He was still crying, so didn't notice the Teehee Valley sands and rock approach him.

There was only the crunch of miscellaneous debris, and Fawful's headgear hitting the rocky ground.

Then it all went black…
