I really, really wanted to do a quick one-shot. I just did.

More BelMam, how lame. Just some friendship though.

Warnings: Drabble, death, Belphegor

Disclaimer: I own nothing.

Human's repeat their lives infinitely, over and over…

Belphegor had never really thought of those words up until after the little Arcobaleno was gone. He deemed them crazy, ramblings of the strange pint-sized illusionist when in a corner. He had forgotten those words not long after they were uttered; the mist battle was far more interesting than some crackpot views Mammon had on reincarnation.

But now why did he remember her words now?

She was dead, died by her own hands at that. How pathetic of her that she take her own life, he was tempted to laugh when the news had been delivered to him and the rest of the Varia. He tried to, but the laugh came out jagged, choked, forced…

He would have loved to wear red to her funeral, he wanted to throw a fucking party, he wanted to dishonor her for being so weak; make his newfound hate for her known.

He didn't.

He wore black, he didn't throw a party, nor did he even try to smear her name. No matter how much he wanted to, no matter how angry she may have made him, he could still never do such a thing as dishonor her memory.

She was supposed to be there, in his now bare arms, not in a tiny box underground. The prince's favorite toy had broken and nothing could ever replace it. Now that same line from the mist battle was repeating in his head, over and over, in that same small voice of hers.

Humans repeat their lives over and over…That's why I collect money…

"You really were fucking stupid if you believed in that shit…Stupid greedy baby…" He muttered, glaring over the balcony at the world below. He almost expected the illusionist to be standing on the railing, witty reply at ready. "I never even got to see what was under that hood…" The blond sighed, running a hand through his shaggy hair. "Maybe in the next life…if what you say is true…Shishishi..." He laughed as he turned away from the view to head back inside to get away from the darkening skies. He turned back to look as he thought he heard something go 'mu', but dismissed it as simply the wind. "I wonder if things work out for you better in your next life..." He sighed as he pushed open the door, waiting to brave his grieving mother figure within.

So short and crappy.
