AN: Hey guys! This is my very first fanfiction, thanks for taking the time to read this. "Well? Make your choice, Hermione. Me or him?" Ron felt a sharp stab of guilt when he looked at Hermione's pleading face, but he quickly shrugged it off. She's made her decision, he thought, she'd have to live with it. He looked between her and the man he had viewed as his best friend for all these years. Ron glared at Harry, as if to dare him to say anything. Without another word, he slung his rucksack onto his shoulders and forced his way out of the tent despite Hermione's pleading. Before making it very far, Ron realized he had no idea where he'd go. Hermione had always thought of that. This was new for him, Ron wasn't used to being the one calling the shots.

Ron walked through the forest he was currently in (No use asking him which one, he wouldn't be able to tell you) as he contemplated his destination. Back to Hogwarts? No, not safe and he sure as hell wasn't going to go back to where even more people could tell him what to do. Home? No, not safe and too many questions would be asked that he didn't want to answer. He could see the dismayed look on his parents face as he walked in the front door and told them that he had walked out on Harry and Hermione. No, home was not an option. Fred and George's? No, they would also be disappointed in him. He could hear their laughter fade as he explained what he was doing on their front doorstep.

Ron continued his weary trudge. He was already beginning to regret leaving. What had Harry and Hermione really done to hurt him? He contemplated turning back before reminding himself that he was tired of being walked on, He was tired of being treated as second best. He was going to prove to everyone that he could do something on his own. He just needed to figure out where to start…
