I wrote this Last year for english class. We wrote a 'Chapter 13'

Little backround knowledge: They all went to therapy.

Ralph wandered the streets of London; it had been years since they'd left the island and they had all gone to therapy for years. He was 22 now, and engaged to the sister of his best friend from the island. After therapy, they had all parted ways, lost contact, and drifted apart. Ralph had taken it upon himself to find Piggy's family and learn his real name. He still referred to him as Piggy, that was how he knew him and Piggy would always be Piggy to Ralph. Ahead of him, he saw a familiar head of red hair, freckles gone, and taller now, but it was still Jack.

"Jack?" The man turned to see who called, caught sight of Ralph, and smiled at him.

"Ralph? It's good to see you again."

"Yeah, same. You're out" Ralph stopped in front of the man who used to be a boy trying to kill him.

"Yeah, you?"

"Yeah"

"That's good."

"Yeah."

"So, how've you been?" Normal conversation. Back then this was the farthest thing they imagined for the future. Standing on the streets of London having a normal conversation.

"Alright. I'm engaged now." Ralph looked down as he said that, he still remembered Piggy on the rocks with his brains spilling out. Even years of therapy couldn't take that away.

"Really? So am I, well sort-of."

"Who?" Ralph retuned his gaze to Jack.

"You first."

"Piggy's sister."

"Hey Jack!" A new voice called. The man belonging to the voice walked up behind Jack, black hair long and held in a ponytail. Jack tipped his head backwards to look at the man and smiled.

"Hey Roger."

"Talkin' to someone?" Roger's fingers laced with Jack's as the taller planted a kiss on Jack's temple.

"Yeah," he said, leaning back against Roger, "Ralph, remember him?"

"Yeah, hey Ralph." Roger's attention turned from the man whose hand he held to the one standing in front of them.

"So he's…?" Ralph questioned, pointing.

"Yep." Jack smiled. Ralph couldn't say he was surprised, but he couldn't say he wasn't either; it certainly wasn't something he had expected.

"Ralph?" It was a girl's voice this time, one very familiar to Ralph; he turned to face his fiancé with a smile. Piggy's eyes, Piggy's hair, Piggy's face, all transformed into the tall skinny female before him. He'd grown too, of course; he was taller than her, but not by much. Piggy was still with him in this girl. "I've been looking all over for you, we have to go the train's about to leave."

"Sorry, I was talking to some of my old friends, from… well… I told you, remember?"

"Yeah. So this is... Jack... and Roger?"

"That's right." He smiled at her again, proud this time. She was so much like his old friend, so much. He turned back to the two boys who had almost killed him years ago. "See you around Jack?"

"Yeah Ralph, See you around."

The two pairs turned and walked away from each other. Ralph's only thought then was 'so this is what it's like, to meet the person who destroyed your world, and be happy for him.'
