Chapter 1- A New School.
"Aika!" A male's distant voice would cross my ears, "Come on, Aika! Please! Open your eyes!" The voice begged but I was too tired. Who did that voice belong to? I felt as though it belonged to someone important, someone that shouldn't be forgotten.
"Aika!" The voice yelled but soon it was nothing but a mumble as darkness consumed me.
"Aika! Wake up!" A woman's voice finally entered my ears, and I slowly opened my eyes, I winced a bit and groaned. "Ugh…" I covered my eyes with my arm and slowly moved to sit up. "Bright…" I sighed and ran a hand through my hair; my eyes scanned my small bedroom.
"That dream again…" I mumbled to myself then slowly moved out of my bed.
"Aika, you better be up!" A woman's voice came from downstairs.
"I'm already up mom…Geez…" I yelled back to her.
"Good, breakfast is ready so hurry up and get ready for school!" My mother's voice came from downstairs again, and I smiled a bit.
"Alright!" I exclaimed then looked to my uniform that hung from a rack on my wall. Today was my first day in a new school. I was so excited I could barely sleep the night before. I grabbed my uniform and pulled it on; I brushed my hair and looked at myself in a full body mirror.
"Hm…" I twirled around a bit and I smiled. "It fits perfectly…" I complimented then grabbed my school bag and headed downstairs to the kitchen.
"Good morning, mom!" I said smiling.
"Good morning, dear. Did you sleep well?" She asked and I sighed softly.
"I had that dream again…I still have no idea what it means…" I explained.
"That's a bit worrying dear but you'll figure it out eventually. Are you excited about your first day in a new school?" She asked and I nodded.
"Definitely!" I exclaimed and started to eat my breakfast rather quickly. I wanted to be on time for my new school. I didn't want to be considered a bad student on my first day at a new school. My mom laughed a bit at me.
"You're such a worrywart, Aika…" She giggled.
"Mom…" I groaned, embarrassed.
"Oh come on, you're in high school already. You should be use to my teasing by now," She teased rather happily.
I stood up and grabbed my bag, "I'm heading out now…I'll be staying a little late after school today to look at clubs. So don't wait up for me…Love you mom…" I said and immediately ran over to the entrance of our house and pulled on my shoes. Afterwards, I headed straight out the door on my rollerblades, since it was a faster mode of transportation.
It took me about 20 minutes to reach my school's front entrance; it was as awesome as I thought it would be. It was my first time going to such a school since I was home schooled until now, my parents had lived in the countryside but now we had moved to the city. My dad's business brought him here and so we all came so my dad wouldn't be alone. I was honestly excited about being around so many people.
I took my rollerblades off and placed them inside my school bag; I could feel eyes on me as people walked by. Boys whispered about me and it made me a bit nervous, to be honest I wasn't bad-looking in appearances. I was actually quite cute or so my parents have always told me, I didn't like being called that since it always made me feel strange. I sighed softly and walked into the school. I placed my shoes in my new locker and grabbed the ones inside. I slipped them on and headed towards the office to get my schedule; some people stopped me along the way and talked with me for a bit, I left a bit early since I didn't want to be late for my first class. I grabbed my schedule from my teacher and introduced myself to everyone formally, when it was almost ready for class my homeroom teacher, Mr. Katsuragi walked with me to his class. I waited outside as everyone filed into the classroom and took their seats.
"Students please welcome a new student, Ms. Aika Kasuto. Please help her to the best of your abilities…Ms. Kasuto please come in…" Mr. Katsuragi introduced to his class. I took a deep breath and walked into the classroom. I bowed my head to everyone.
"Hello, it's a pleasure to meet everyone. My name is Aika Kasuto, my family just moved from the countryside so I'm still getting use to city-life, please bear with me," I introduced myself then smiled. "I'm looking forward to our time together…" I kindly said.
The students all welcomed me, and I headed back to my new seat which was now beside the window.
School passed similarly throughout the day and by the end of the day, I had gotten a bit exhausted. Time slowly passed in my last class Calculus and I eventually fell asleep. Darkness consumed me as I drifted.
