Harry Potter didn't know whether he should be furious or proud that Teddy Lupin wanted to marry his daughter. His only daughter. Fury was easy to call up. And now, sitting across from the young man (not that young, he reminded himself) as Teddy calmly asked for Lily's hand in marriage, Harry thought he could have killed him.

"She's only eighteen." He told him firmly, glaring. Teddy swallowed, but he wasn't an Auror for nothing. His normally brown hair was a curling black Harry had never seen on the boy and his eyes were the same chocolate as Lily's. As Harry glared, he was glad to notice the hair get less and less brown and more and more red.

"Yes sir, I am aware. I love her, sir." Funny, the only time Teddy had called him sir before now was at formal ministry events. Harry wasn't sure if this was to be respectful or to remind him who he was. 'Yes, sir' he thought in Teddy's rumbled voice, 'Consider the headlines, sir.'

"I would hope so, Teddy." He exhaled noisily. There were only three ways to handle this. 1. He could kill his godson and dispose of the body quietly, breaking his daughter heart when he told her Teddy had run away; 2. He could kill Teddy and make it look like an accident, breaking his daughter's heart; or 3. He could give his blessing and hope he didn't have to kill Teddy in the future. He liked option one, and he was sure Ginny would agree. But how to kill him?

Poison would be too easy to discover, the killing curse was illegal (or at least more illegal than the other methods), and he had no idea where to get a muggle gun. Teddy was probably strong enough to fight him off if he tried to bludgeon him to death with the paper weight he was playing with (and think of the mess!), sadly, because it was currently his favorite method. A cursed bludger was also too easily discoverable and Teddy slept too lightly to sneak in and smother to death. He couldn't even send Teddy off on an obviously fatal mission since it would be obvious it was meant to be fatal, and also because he was no longer head of the Auror department. Death it seemed, was not an option.

Or at least not until he was able to brain storm with Ginny.

"I know your blessing means a lot to Lily," Teddy fidgeted finally under Harry's glare. "It means a lot to me as well." Damn it, the kid was blushing and his hair was a dark crimson.

"I fully expect you to treat her well." Or I will kill you. I just might anyway. He left the threat unspoken. He nodded towards the door while he tested the heaviness of the paperweight, suggesting Teddy leave. Soon.

"I will, Harry, I love her!" Teddy heaved a relieved sigh and stood to go, looking a little less professional than when he had walked in. He paused at the door, tapping his knuckles on it as he looked back at Harry. "Er…does this mean we have your blessing?"

Harry sighed, setting down the paper weight he was picturing throwing at the godson he'd never contemplated hurting before. Well, if his little girl loved him and she wanted to marry Teddy, he'd just have to make sure his little girl was happy. If his blessing was what would make her happy, he'd give it. Lily wanted Teddy and Harry's little Lily always got what she wanted.

"Yes."
