Authors Note- Another school assignment, but I like this poem. It's about absolutly nothing and eberything at the same time. Not really. It's about nature and love (due to the requirements). Please give me constructive critisim, no HATE reviews please. Thanks
The Pond
Snow,
it lies over the pond,
were we once met.
The sky was blue,
and as a child I knew
we were bound to love one day.
As the seasons change,
the flowers grew,
around the beautiful pond,
green, blue, pink, and yellow.
You gave me them,
So long ago.
Then Summer comes,
It's hot and dry,
The spring rain is long gone.
We go to the pond,
Where are lives were changed
and we can never be disturbed
It's fall now,
And the leaves are leaving the trees,
They fall to the ground,
The leaves crunch,
When we walk around,
Near the old pond.
Soon it will be time,
For him to leave,
But I know we will meet again,
When the right time comes.
We say our goodbyes around the life changing pond
And he leaves the place where we grew up
It's been three years,
And he's come back.
We catch up,
Around the ever changing pond.
I will always remember,
Our days around the pond.
