A/N2: You know what? Writing blocks ain't much fun. So here's another little something to get me going again.

She heard his soothing voice rang out in the room. She walked to the door and leaned, watching the scene unfold before her.

His arms was cradled the small baby and he was gently brushing his hand across the delicate face. Her small little hands grasped hold on his finger and stared at him in wonderment.

"You've been born to a world full of wonder. But along the way, there would be some things that will detour you from your path. Don't you worry, we'll be there to help you along. Remember that your mommy and daddy loves you. And guess what? You've got a big brother to take care of you too! Imagine that." The baby cooed and Bud chuckled "That's right baby, a big brother!... You're a little miracle you know?"

"Bud?" Harriet finally spoke up from the doorway, her eyes still trained on her husband. "Is she alright?"

"Yeah honey, she's great." He said with a broad smile.

Bud Roberts have gone from hell to heaven. It was unbelievable that one year ago, he was hanging on to his dear life on an aircraft carrier and now, he was sitting on a rocking chair holding the miracle that is their newborn child. Through it all, Harriet has been there for him, lifting him up when he was down.

"I think she's finally asleep." Bud said softly, standing up. He slowly and carefully walked to the crib, tenderly placed her in and tucked her into bed. The man sighed as his wife placed a kiss on his shoulder. "This has been one hell of a year."

"I know." She whispered and brushed her lips across her daughter's forehead. Turning her husband around, she led him out of the room.
