She was always curious as to his life after he left for the second time. Was he happy? Was he safe? Did he have someone? If he did, was she everything Cassie couldn't be for him? Then a random hit and run gave her the option. That's also when she met them. The rest of the woman, who had loved and lost a Winchester, then lost their lives. They spent their days in heaven watching and waiting for their next member, as well as keeping an eye on the boys of course.
Cassie never minded watching him with his women, cause she knew they usually meant next to nothing to him. Just another notch, nothing more. That was until he met Jo. Cassie knew just as Mary and Jess did that Jo could come to mean a lot to him if given the chance. She couldn't help but be jealous of Jo. Jo was everything Cassie wasn't and exactly what Dean needed. Cassie watched as Jo punched, flirted, then repeatedly chewed him out over the years, all the while watching Dean's affection for her grow. Cassie watched as Jo turned him down on her last night, not knowing that she wouldn't get another chance with him. The women knew Jo would be joining them soon and Cassie found herself genuinely saddened by this. Over the years Cassie had come to terms that JO would be his only chance for a semi-normal life, and Cassie wanted that for him.
But for now the women waited with Cassie for Jo's death. It sounded morbid if you think about it, waiting for someone to die, but that's what they did now. Wait. Wait to meet the boys again, for the boys to finally be done and to come home to choose. That was their fate now. When John escaped from Hell Gate the group learned its true fate. John choose Mary, she didn't have to stay with us, but she wanted to meet the women her cons would decide on as well. Cassie was confident in Dean's choice until he met Jo and now that Jo would be joining them soon, Cassie had come to terms with her fate. Hers would be the same as all the women John did not pick. When Dean finally died and he chooses Jo, Cassie, as well as the other women waiting for him, would never remember him or the years watching and waiting for him. Cassie would be given her own heaven without any trace of the Winchesters.
Jess and Mary along with the rest of the women, stood a few feet away watching Dean and Jo's final moments together. Cassie didn't need to see, she didn't need to know his face when he said goodbye. Just cause Cassie accepted Jo's status doesn't mean she needed to see him look at another women with love in his eyes. So Cassie waited some more. After a gasp for the group, she knew Jo was dead and couldn't help but look. Instead of the dead body, Cassie found herself looking at Dean's face as he watched a building burn. Pain, guilt, loss, and above all hopelessness. Cassie ripped her gaze away quickly.
The doors behind Cassie opened to reveal a surprisingly clean Jo. Gone were the dirty clothes, sweaty face and blood soaked ace bandages. In their place was classic Jo. Black spaghetti strap tank, blue jeans and boots. Every new girl always arrived wearing the boy's favorite outfit. Cassie always assumed it was part of the boys Gift. Cause that's why they were here. Heavens Gift for the boys when they finally came home. So Cassie looked at Jo's confused face, then back at Deans defeated face, took a deep breath and went to welcome Deans Gift. The women who would take her place and she would do it with a smile. For him, for that face, and for the future Dean should have had with Jo. Jo wasn't just Heavens Gift for Dean, but Cassie's as well.
