Dean was sitting on the hood of his Impala, feeling the warmth of his boyfriend's head on his chest. Cas was saying something about running away, but he wasn't listening, too busy thinking about how he was going to say goodbye. Pulling the cigarette from his lips, Dean spoke, "Babe, you got it good here, and you don't need to mess with a guy going nowhere." Without looking up from Dean's chest, Castiel hummed. "How's about Texas?" Came the other's voice. Dean stood abruptly, Castiel sliding onto the hood next to him. Shaking his head, Dean paced a few steps from the edge of the car. "Ain't you been listening? It's never gonna work out, and I think it'd be a good time to let me go. You don't need me anyway baby." There was a long moment when neither of them spoke. Castiel dusting himself off, and Dean staring out into the open fields surrounding them with intent in his eyes. "Other than a dreamer, Cas, I ain't nothing but a drifter." He said after a breath, since Castiel was clearly not getting it. "You could do a lot better." He said, his voice softer as he turned back to cup Castiel's cheek. He kissed the love of his life tenderly, before pulling back. "You got another year of college, a good momma and a daddy. Me? I got $93 and this old '67 Chevy. So let me go baby, stop holding on to the way you are. Don't you know I"m no good for you, and it'll only break your heart if you don't let me go." Taking a step back, Dean was sure he'd made his point. Castiel licked his lips, and he stood from the hood of the car. Grabbing Dean's hands, he let out a laugh. "Nice try." He chimed. "But you can't hide behind those shades there on your face. Ya see, I don't think you're all that tough." Castiel smirked playfully, leaning up to wrap his arms around Dean's neck. "I just think you're scared to love, but I think I won't take up that much space. So let me go." He said, pecking Dean's lips softly. "Take me with you baby, I belong where you are. We both know that you're not as strong as you think you are." Castiel stepped back, hands sliding down to Deans. He leaned back against the hood, pulling Dean into his lap. "So let me go alright? Don't you know I'm so good for you, and it'll only break your heart down the road, if you don't let me go with you baby." For a long time, Dean looked down at Castiel in silence. This was not how he had thought this would go, but before long he had leaned down and kissed his boyfriend softly. "Alright."
