I do but own Jane and the Dragon or its characters
Based off my personal feelings on clouds. Hope you enjoy!
Over on a lonely countryside, a boy with hair as dark as a raven laid on the grass, giving his horse a rest. On this particular day, Gunther looked up at the sky wondering about why it seemed that no matter where he went, the clouds seemed to follow. He envied them, and their freeness, thinking why could he not be like them too. For them, the world is not such a bad place since they are out of harms grasp. And who would dare mess with them, they are only puffy groups of what? Of that he was not certain. Perhaps the world is not such a bad place as long as there are fluffy white clouds in the sky.
Those persons who thought of the birds in the sky and desired to be like them, were they not also envious of the clouds? To drift alongside them, to feel their softness? Unless you were a flying creature or had the privilege to fly high in the sky like Jane, he would never get the chance to find out.
But what is it to him of floating clouds? Who are of no harm or consequence to no one? Who shaded him on the sunniest of days? He could not care either way as long as they entertain, and cover, and float by. In the deepest blue he could ever imagine, they fill up a space belonging to no one but to them. So what of it if birds, or insects buzz by without a care instead of admiring a simple thing? Only man could openly admire and envy them like he did.
If he was a cloud, then there would be nowhere he would not be, but that was only fantasy.
Getting back on his horse, it was time for Gunther to finish his father's errands. But before he left, Gunther gave a last look at the sky. As long as he could dream as far as the clouds, maybe things would be so bad. As long as he could see them, his life would not be so bad
