Right. I suppose I'm supposed to work on my entry for the SSSW, but this one got in the way.

To the melody of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.

And yes, I know it's a bit out of season,
and yes, I'm aware that Rudolph's infamous red nose postdates ww2,
but who says its author wasn't a prisoner in Stalag 13?

(Just remember that this information is classified, and cannot be divulged.)

But caution: this one is for in-barracks entertainment only! Not to be sung within earshot of our illustrious Kommandant!

The Iron Eagle Song

.

Klinky, the Iron Eagle
Had a bald and shiny head
And when he was embarrassed
It would turn a burning red

But our Iron Eagle
He was so afraid of heights
He never dared admit it
But all he'd ever flown were kites!

Then one stormy Christmas Eve
Klink received a call
Hitler screamed with all his might
"You will fly my plane tonight!"

All of the other Eagles
Laughed and jeered with utter glee
"Poor little Iron Eagle
You'll go down in misery!"

But a soldier of the Reich
Does as he is told
Up the Eagle went alright
Absolutely terrified

Up in the wide blue yonder
The Iron Eagle lost control
He got out parachuting
But Hitler had a great big fall...!
